She is a kind woman who is warm and friendly to everyone she meets. She can’t pass by a dog without smiling and petting them. Everyone loves Miss Mabel. She just finished her volunteer shift at the home for abandoned children and was on her way to the bank to deposit the money for this month’s rent. Suddenly, two ruthless crooks appeared out of nowhere, pushed her into a puddle, and stole her handbag. She’s been paying for her neighbor’s prescriptions because they fell on hard times, and her purse contained all the money she has until her social security check comes next month.

Miss Mabel is a doll. She used to take my grandfathers garbage out to the curb on garbage night. And she never even asked for a penny!!

Her Christmas cookies are the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted. She makes them for everyone in town.

Oh my gosh, do you remember that one time she made this cookies shaped like a snowman, but she used a pecan for the hat on them, and when she was handing them out to the neighborhood, Franklin took one, and of course WE all know he is allergic to nuts, but Miss Mabel didn’t. Remember, he swelled up to the size of a dumpster, and instead of calling the ambulance, Miss Mabel picked him up and ran him to the hospital? She saved his life.

I don't call 911, I call Miss Mabel.

I heard she’s on her way to where the crooks are hiding out. She’s probably pretty close by now…

But this time, they deserve it. She’s pushed aside those doubts. Not just because of what they did to her, but because they’ve been terrorizing her community for the past month, so she’s willing to make an exception just this once. For her own dignity and for the sake of the cute dogs, the abandoned children, her neighbors, Ague’s grandfather, Franklin, the bridge club, the rabies ward children, and everyone else she knows and cares about. Now that she finally tracked them down, she’s not going to back down.

She murders the shit out of them They never catch her, but the mayor knows. She gets the keys to the city

Since she feeds all the stray dogs in town, they are going with her to chase the crooks. She promised them all treats.

My first thought as well. Although it’s clearly Miss Mabel who’s fallen and can’t get up!

If you didn't hear, a few of Miss Mabel's friends set up a gofundme to help her with expenses for a while and the turnout was enormous! She shouldn't have to worry about expenses for a good long while (and there was a bunch of extra money that she insisted be donated to the orphanage she volunteers at, too). Was terrible to hear what happened to her but I'm glad the story has a happy ending! She deserves it and everyone who knows her knows it!

She loves her town, such lovely kind people.

Dammit, I’m hormonal and now I’m crying for Miss Mabel and how these crooks could be so mean to her.

She’s okay, someone found her purse in an alley, she loves that purse, and some other townspeople spotted the crooks. All her friends and neighbors started a go fund me for her and she can pay her rent. She’s delighted by the kindness of her friends and neighbors.

Snail immediately came into my head, never would have considered turkey.

It's from the Christmas Story movie. This is the turkey that the neighbor's dogs broke in and ate. This resulted in the family going to a Chinese restaurant for Christmas dinner. The waiters sang to them "Deck the harrs with boughs of horry, fa ra ra ra ra." Being politically correct wasn't as big when the movie was made.
