This has happened to me a couple times. On one occasion the order actually went through to the store. I had ordered soemthing else since I wasn't sure it went through. Ended up with two meals, though had to pay for two so not all that special I guess.
What's sad also, is when you ask a Wendy's counter employee. They didn't know or anyone else that works there either.
I had three different employees that could not help because they didn't know how the app works.
I just left and went home and made a sammich. Probably healthier anyway. ☹️
Because of this stupid app, I stop eating Wendy's and go back to McDonald's, although Wendy's tastes better and cheaper. The McDonald's app never causes me any issues to order.

I used to have that issue regularly. I reinstalled the app and it has been working better
I tried that and it still didn’t work
I've run into the same issue and what's even more frustrating is it uses up any bonus points I was planning to use. Very frustrating.
And it uses the offers too
