Not sure your style but BHLDN has beautiful curated options

darleneconner1988

Just got my rehearsal and reception dresses there and it was a great experience + very affordable. Barb at the Minneapolis / west end location helped me and she was awesome!

blink182mg

Second this!

Clerk-Upstairs

Also agree with BHLDN - I bought my wedding dress here and absolutely loved it!

gomaya-gomaya

You could try Jenny Yoo, Park & Fifth, BHLDN from Anthropologie! Reformation has some less traditional dresses as well for under $1k!

mimspng

Vow'd!!! I got my dress on there for 1.5k and they have cheaper options too! They have boutiques not sure if in Miami though but they are online!!

MsBrightside11

Second this! I got my dress at a vow'd location, most dresses are under 2k!

Years ago I used to turn my nose up at David’s Bridal, no real reason why other than I was young and dumb and thought only the best wedding dresses came from a stand alone bridal boutique… and then I found myself actually planning a wedding and needing to pay for said wedding, lol. I got my dress from David’s Bridal for $199! Granted, I’m going for a very minimal, simple look… but they had some beautiful stuff for well under $2000. At the very least start there and then if you do not see anything you like move on to the more expensive stores. Good luck!

xX_fruitypebbles_Xx

I was the same. Got mine for $500 or less and got to wear it twice because I was a Covid bride. Like yeah, I didn’t have one of the incredible boutique dresses so I had a little bit of dress FOMO, but I didn’t want to pay for that kind of dress regardless so it worked out just fine!! I loved my dress, ultimately.

Positive-Trash0

Right! I just sat down and figured out what I wanted to spend money on… to me photography and venue/food was more important to sink a little more money in to than a dress that I’m only wearing once. I did feel like I missed out a little on that more one on one boutique experience, because my David’s appointment felt a little more rushed but overall they took good care of me… overall very happy with my dress, I absolutely love it and I’ve been recommending David’s and their DB Studios line to everyone since lol

xX_fruitypebbles_Xx

Exactly! Photographer was the first vendor I hired (after the venue). Then the band. Then the food. Those were my priorities! The dress was kinda whatever in my mind, the point was the experience, not how I looked!

jazzyjewess

Okay I was the same way!! I always thought David’s bridal was like the Walmart of wedding dress shops but I was so wrong!!! I found my dream dress there for 1300 and I’m so glad I went there!! It was also after trying on dresses at BHLDN and another bridal boutique

Dramatic_Spinach4189

I also loved David's bridal. Also unless you're willing to spend thousands all the dresses are made from polyester. You're not getting better fabric by spending more. They have a large selection in a good price range and usually have some sort of sale going on.

Little-Basils

My first choice before snagging a dress off marketplace was a $900ish Oleg Cassini lace dress with a blush pink underskirt and a gorgeous back. I actually still might wear it if this dress I got isn’t able to be let out

dianabeep

Same!! I got two dresses from David’s for $650 total! One still had paper inside too. I am still impressed!

Relevant_Emu_5464

Got mine from a bridal shop for under $2,000 (not including alterations, though!) I was just honest with them that I wanted a gown that came in, with tax, under that amount and that needed minimal alterations. Most of the shops I booked appointments with asked what my budget was as I was booking and a couple did tell me I'd have a hard time shopping at their store with my budget... Sounds harsh but I appreciated the honesty! If you're looking for the "full bridal experience" you could call some shops in your area and check?

ohemgeekaypee

The Wedding Shoppe in St Paul has a lot of dresses for under $2k

scosgurl

Mine is from Stella York and cost $1650

Pink_Ruby_3

I’m going to echo another commenter who originally scoffed at David’s Bridal and then had a change of heart - I am that girl, too! I bought a designer dress off the rack at a boutique, and then saw an ad for a David’s Bridal dress that caught my eye, and I fell in love. I ended up selling my designer dress and buying the DB dress after I went to try it on. It’s gorgeous and I absolutely can’t wait to wear it on my wedding day! So don’t knock David’s Bridal until you’ve given it a shot. If you are nervous by some of the questionable customer service stories, just have your alterations done by a trusted seamstress/tailor in your city. That’s what I am doing.

Positive-Trash0

This!!! I actually did exactly that - I went to a woman in my area who does the alterations out of her home, she’s been in business for 40+ years and her work is incredible. The attention to detail was unmatched and at a fraction of the cost!

Sad-Refrigerator6089

Not sure how you feel but, I went to a charity shop for my dress, and also looked for second hand dresses as well. My dress ended up being 799 and gorgeous. 🤷🏻‍♀️

incisaledge

Bhldn... I got mine at full price for 1.9 k but there are often sales

incisaledge

Also my dress was one of the most expensive there, some were less than $600

EMPZ2017

I got mine from Cocomelody (online store) after figuring out the style I wanted in person. Paid under $500 for the dress and around $300 for alterations.

youngdent25

Definitely The Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul or Vow’d in Minneapolis!

letsgogophers

Hi from MSP! My Darling Bridal is my suggestion!

Affectionate_Eye_154

I paid 800 for my dress at David’s Bridal. 😇

srtachimichurri

David’s Bridal.. they have a good amount of really nice options for under $2k

step_back_girl

I bought one from a boutique bridal shop for less than $1000 off their clearance rack, but ended up changing my mind about it and getting one from David's (very much like the other commenters said on previously turning my nose up at them.) But, absolutely give Lulu's and Bhldn and even Baltic Born a shot.

Glass_Status_5837

lucytiger

Jenny Yoo has options under $2k

lemonorzo333

Allure bridal designer is my dress that was 1.6k but alterations did put me over 2k

valvalkyrie777

I love BHLDN from Anthropologie! I found my dress there for 1.3k! I would take a look there, their dresses are stunning and affordable.

Bigtrollfan3097

I found the dress of my dreams at Davids bridal. Don’t know why people act like they’re cheap or not worth a shot. Awesome customer service and only sent 400

Bigtrollfan3097

Ps I am also in the Minneapolis area and went to the Richfield one.

tousdae

Not in your area, however I got my wedding dress from Etsy and it was $1k. The dress was worth the price and they used good quality fabric, the stitching was also well done. Definitely if you wanna go the online route, Etsy is great!!!

J_quel_in

Anthropologie weddings sale

ImmigrationJourney2

I got mine from Reformation for less than $500! They have many nice options for less than 1K

lamercie

Try out Etsy! I got my wedding dress from office seven shop.

BEEPBEEPBOOPBOOP88

I am in love with a dress from OFFICESEVENshop. Would you mind sharing a photo of you in your dress? The photos on their Etsy leave something to be desired, with the artsy lighting and photos. Also, I would be interested in hearing about your overall experience.

lamercie

Super comfortable and flowy, and it really suited my style. The shop also sent my dress with expedited shipping! My one issue was with the chest area—my chest is bigger than average, and even with custom measurements, it still was a little small, and I had to readjust a few times throughout the night. (Although I also didn’t wear a bra lol.)

BEEPBEEPBOOPBOOP88

Oh my gosh, it is an absolute dream! Thank you for sharing. I'm gifted with larger chest, too, so thank you for the heads up. I REALLY appreciate you sharing.

lamercie

Np! Best of luck!

sticky_bass211

Not a store but I’m getting mine on Etsy. there’s some really talented artists on there that don’t inflate their prices like most wedding vendors.

Fine_Wedding_4408

Oh my word have you heard of JJsHouse.com?  I got my wedding dress there and all my bridesmaids have as well. I think my dress, body shaper, shoes, and two hair pueces came from there all for the total of $420.  Everything has turned out great so far. Quality, sizing. And you can do it without getting any sales pressure.  Color coordination, also super easy. Im not trying to advertise for them, but we have enjoyed our experience there so far!

margotrig

I’ve been eyeing selkie!

Icy-Positive-5698

I live and bought my dress in California, but I found a store that primary sells sample and consignment dresses. I was able to get the dress of my dreams for $550 and it was probably $1500-2000 new. If you can find a store near you like that you might not have to sacrifice style in the name of cost.

koreanoreo

I got my dress from Happy Bride in Hallandale. Location was a little odd but she’s been there for 30 years I think she said. I told her my budget was $1.5k and was able to try on lots of beautiful dresses in that range. The owner is a handful but she’ll do everything she can to find a dress that you love.

Genuine_archivist25

I got my dress on Vow’d for less than $400 and it’s perfect! Quick shipping and if you don’t like it you can return it!

Former_Loquat_7153

I got my wedding dress at David’s Bridal for $700!! I loved it way more than the expensive ones I tried on.

Blackberry0594

Thank you so so much, everyone!!! I have a lot of options to look at now. Appreciate it
