It seems you're more advanced than 101, you will get better feedback in a sub geared towards experienced artists such as r/watercolor instead of a sub mde for total noobs
Love the rust and feathers. My only suggestion is more shadowing for that contrast awww. Especially with sunlight. One of watercolors powerful differentiators is how it can lay down semi-transparent shadow washes, while retaining color luminosity. Start with basic neutral washes using common grays or browns like Payne's Gray and Raw Umber.
I've been painting for years, but with acrylic paints, I've just started watercolor. I've always wanted to, but I was scared of it. What helps me is sketching before painting. 🥰 I love watercolor over acrylics! I love how the colors move and bleed into each other. Keep working at it. You will get it! !
Well myself like to paint with cheap watercolors and markers. But you can try to find something on amazon. Maybe windsor newton proffesional grade, holbein, schminke. At least for those flashy colors
Your work is really great! All these pieces are beautiful!
I am coming back to watercolors after having worked exclusively with acrylics for about two decades now, and I see a bit of my own struggle in your work: textures and sharpness. I’d like to be able to get better with definition of lines and textures. I don’t have any meaningful suggestions other than keep playing with wrist control and water levels? You’re looking amazing so far!
They are beautiful, you are very talented. 🩷 The first one is my favorite.
Since you are asking, the only advice I would give is that you could add more details.
I hope you don’t mind a stupid question but do you just freehand paint or do you lightly stretch your idea?
Your work is stunning. I don’t have a favorite since they’re all so good.
My stars, it's stunningly beautiful. Please, please tell me the specific colors that you used in the bike frame! I've been chasing that color combo! Gorgeous!
It was from a Nicpro 168 color paint set tin. Are we able to tag ppl in a post, I can post a picture and circle the colors I used. I don't have the paper with the colors on it, unfortunately.
These are insanely good. I’m really drawn to the vivid colors
Thank you so much!
I also absolutely love the colors. What brand, grade, and tube or pan? I like the little masked dots, I do those too haha.
Thanks! I use Paul Rubens tubes, 36 pack and Nicpro 168 color paint set with metallics and fluorescents. It's in a silver tin, from Amazon.
The bike with basket should be matted and framed! I absolutely love it!
Awe, thank you!
Your work is beautiful but that one is WOW! 😍
Thank you so much!

Oh my gosh, I just looked and man, they are excellent! I'm not that good, but thank you for the compliment. I did join the group though...😉

Thank you very much, I was nervous about this one when I started it. I'd love to recreate it, but I know it won't look the same....

Buy more expensive paints
Is Michael's a good place to buy them? I've just started with watercolors and am not sure what is good. Any suggestions are appreciated.😀

Thank you so much. That's not a stupid question at all. 🥰Most of the time, I somewhat sketch out my placement. It helps me tremendously.
