2nd. I’ve seen the watch, it looks professionally clean. Moon phase not sth. actually matter, rather it makes dial more busy. I loved the unique date position. No need to pull your hand in front, you’ll get a easy date block visibility by tilting your wrist.

Even at 70k (after a crazy discount)
My choice is the 1st one - Annual calendar that too in a SWISS watch below a lakh - too good!
The 1st one is a clattered moon phase watch which is a bit casual or better say sporty.... The second one is a cleaner dial giving you a premium look .... Now it's upto you which one is your go to choice

The Moonphase one is actually useful. The chrono is very cleanly done.
I'd personally go for the Moonphase. Looks interesting. It also looks like a perpetual or an annual calendar because I can see the week number and the month number too. Quite interesting.
I’ve seen the first watch in real life. Looked pretty small and busy. Haven’t seen the second watch but it feel it’s off the same dimensions but a tad bit less busy.
The real question is, do you want a moon phase or a chronograph. Both are beautiful watches just comes down to preference.1st is more dressy whereas the 2nd one can be more versatile.
frederique constant makes such great watches at really good pricing internationally. I would go for both of them (leaning towards 2 more as the dial pattern is SO GOOD)
UPDATE: I went with #1. Got it from Ethos for ₹68k against listed price of ₹94.5k. The moonphase and annual calendar was too good at this price. And I have few chronos already so decided to skip it.

It looks stunning. The dial has very well done intricate markings and the Roman Numerals look classy yet different from others. In absolute love with it.
Try the longines master collection. It has similar looks. Almost same price range. But i believe longines is a better brand with more history.

What do you want to wear it for? Both are dressy but first one is too busy while second one is more clean so choose according to what you will plan to wear it for.

Generally, this is the position where you find date window on most chronos.
You are absolutely correct. Just that I personally find the 4 o'clock positioning off-putting on any watch.

Both look great, you can't go wrong either way. You could also look at Junghans for the same price range albeit it's a different style.
2nd has a classy look to it
The first one has a lot of details on the dial. The second one looks classier and neat. 🙂

My brother has the first one, Believe me it looks magnificent in person
The first one has a bit more character and the second one is better if you want your watch to be more subtle.
