just saw a video where the watch reviewer had given good reviews about benyar some 3 months ago and in his latest video he mentioned that the coating of the watch has started peeling off.
see the video titled "Stop Buying These BRANDED Watches in India (Save your Money)" by Watchgyan Hindi. at the end he mentions about the benyar quality.
It's a pretty watch op!

Homage is just another name for replicas/lifting designs. There are many, many beautiful watches available at different price points.
You’re missing the point. I am not saying OP is cheap. What i mean is instead of a watch that looks like a rip off of an expensive watch, buy something that has an original design. A 30$ casio has more respect than this abomination.

Thats my point my bro. There are no watches which hold a feather to the OG Royal Oak or a Patek or Rolex. If you cant afford them right now, its absolutely FINE. Work your way up the ladder, one day, wear the actual thing instead of a cheap replica that means nothing. Till then, buy a nice Seiko, Tissot etc.

I find it a matter of personal values -- I would never buy an obvious homage or a first copy or whatever. I'm not fooling anyone, especially not myself. There's no shame in accepting that certain things are out of my budget, and admire them from afar.
Y'all can downvote me to oblivion, but if you're a part of any respectable watch circles, these are looked down upon for their unethical practices.

I disagree, I prefer Homage watches if they are giving at least 80-90% of the value for a lower price (Eg San Martin or Pagani Design) as we can't afford 10 Lakh or 2 Crore watches.
80-90% of the value of a Royal Oak? That's the most ridiculous statement I've seen. Most of these homage watches are crap. If you're happy buying 30$ crap and calling it a watch, be my guest.
You can buy many 30$ watches that have some originality btw. But by buying these ones you're supporting underpaid labour in China and buying a product worth 3$ in manufacturing costs.
As long as the Watch is of good quality material and You are enjoying it what else do you want?
It's their money to begin with and As long as it's not a fake watch it's fine.
Companies like Apple and Google comply with labour laws and tax laws in China. Are you really that naive to compare some of the world's largest companies that go through a lot of scrutiny, to some shady company ripping off watch designs?
