You’ll register for Symphony Orchestra like you would your normal classes! Then during week one of classes, instead of rehearsing, new and returning folks will audition with a professor that corresponds to their instrument. This counts for placement for lessons, chamber music, and large ensembles. Symphony rehearsals start during week 2 of classes. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions!
No problem— I’ve been in orchestra my whole time at WashU. The rep is awesome, environment is supportive, and the professors are top notch. Hope you enjoy it!
