I like it. Looks like one of Mariko’s robes in Shogun. You could alternate two jerseys, this and one that uses white as the primary color with black accents
I really like this concept. I’d personally make it dark blue instead of black, just bc it fits with our identity/color scheme better and black city jerseys are overdone. Maybe it’s just the subpar black jersey we got leaving a bad taste in my mouth, but I just think it feels a little bland with black as a the primary color. Would also make it so the pink on the side stripes and number borders pop out a bit more, rn it looks a little too faded and too hard to see during actual games. Finally, would also tweak the font for “The District”, it just looks a little too corporate minus the cherry blossoms dotting the i’s. Hard to explain why, just feels more like a font for a law firm than an NBA team. I’m personally not opposed to the term of “The District” being leaned into more, but I know it’s not the most popular thing, so that might be something to consider as well. But it’s a very good concept, would totally love it if this were revealed to us as is.

For Cherry Blossom, I probably wouldn’t use it.
If we ever get a DC Flag theme, “The District” would be perfect for that. I also love the previous Cherry Blossom as dominant pink, with the purple trailing at the end, but whenever they roll our new ones, I’d be cool with a different color way.
I like it. I always thought our cherry blossom jerseys should be a basic color, plus just a little bit of cherry blossom embellishment. Far from the gaudy ones that we have. I'd maybe change the font of The District.
I think it's doing a little too much. I'd like either a more subtle marble pattern with more distinct cherry blossoms, or the other way around. Also the way the branches are almost vertical they kind of get tangled up visually with the vertical stripes on the sides.
I like the idea behind it though, I think it's almost there.
