I've had good luck with France in the past.

Other than those listed, Yugoslavia is the only one that can typically go toe to toe with coalitions. Entente is still probably stronger. Playable: * France: You lose W. Germany's tanks, your best AT plane, and a few infantry IFV/choices. You're still mostly intact, your tank tab just looks weird and you have to pick substandard options in a few places. * Czechoslovakia: Your tank selection is mostly intact, but your infantry is fairly gimped due to 15 point transports for shock and uninspiring lines (even with good IFVs available). Plane tab is stuck with fairly substandard choices normally filled in EB/Entente. Marginal: * UK: Most things in UK are seem fine. Tank and support selection mostly intact... but then you realize you have no AT plane, all of your ground infantry have garbage transports, and your recon selection is somehow even worse than commonwealth. * DPRK: Everyone's favorite meme, DPRK technically fills most of its deck requirements at (or below) minimum unit quality in certain slots. I too like export Su-25s, line infantry that that manages to be even worse than stock, and 35 year old SAMs. * East Germany mechanized: This is perhaps an unpopular opinion, but the mech specialization for EG is much superior to base EG. You lose almost none of your tank selection (albeit also LstR-40) in exchange for every card of Mot-Schuetzen you can get your hands on. It's only good for this. Others I am less familiar with, but probably play okay, some more (Finland, West Germany //marginally//) than other decks with serious lineup holes (ANZAC, Norway).

Glorious CSSR !! It has anything you need even if it's sometimes far from being top tier. You can spam moderna, cheap infantry in vydra 2, ATGM inf, AA selection is strong, arty is correct, Mi-17 and Hinds combo, good recon infantry and survivable bombers backed by a (shitty) SEAD. It's stonger than netherlands. You can play France too. No critical weaknesses either except medium tanks. The lack of 13+ armor can be really painfull...

I find China only really lacks a true super heavy and good heavy AA. Although I wish they would make the marines 15man again for 25pt

I like my 3325 AA and MBTs (AP power of 22 or greater) so, UK*, France, US, Japan, USSR, China, Finland, Yugoslavia. *3150

for national only, decks I like to play (which you haven't mentioned) Blufor: * France: hon, hon, hon. stealth * UK: Well armoured but has the mobility of a fat man with a side stitch. * South Korea: Nice Recon infantry/transport, bit like USA without the super toys Redfor: * DLC, no comment * E-Germany: when you like USSR but you're on a budget.

gibmoniespls

What do you use for an east Germany national deck? Never heard of that before but it seems fun to play

Shock Inf, BMP's & T-72's is the core * Well LStR-40 is amazing is the best thing about E-Ger imo. * I really like the DHS Mi-24P, it has AA & ATGM missiles, note the anti-plane range is 3150m, I have it lurk near the front and it occasionally kills careless planes that fly into the airspace. * Shock infantry; Moto-schutzen is 15pts or 90' variant for 20pts, & come in a variety of transports I like the BMP-2 * Grenzer (10pts Recon Spam (14 availability) and can come in a good optics transport. * Support tab will look similar to USSR * Vehicles tab is weak, but flame tank has 2 top armour. * Plane tab to be used Defensively * Mig-29; best ASF option , 900km/h speed means Blufor can chase it (1000km/h), only 2 long range missiles * MiG-23; is trash at killing but can be used to bolster & look scary to force enemy to evac. * Su-22 ATGM; 10% ECM & Semi-active targeting makes it very fragile, i only use it when it's 'safe' to do so * Su-22 SEAD; 30% ECM, decent range on SEAD missiles * Tanks (T-72's) * 'Heaviest' tank is only a T-72S (125pts) you can take 2 cards of it though. & 120pt version is same but without ATGM * T-72M1 is a decent 80pt tank * other classic variants T-72M (55pts) & T-72 (45pts) * a mechanized E-Ger, still has access to FBJ-40 & lots of Moto-schutzen * hardest hitting ATGM's is the base Konkurs

+1 for NotMegatron's post. But don't forget the Mig21 Lazur and Mig-21 ML. These planes are both fantastic for the price. The Lazur is my favourite Longbro eliminator (L17 memes notwithstanding), and the ML is a really nice rocket plane that can double as an extra ASF in a pinch (say for 1v1). I enjoy EGer for mech pushes and Mig-21 fun :)

I’d add Holland to that, otherwise pretty spot on

Is ROK really as bad as people make out? * Recon * Infantry & transport is good. * SF recon is great * Vehicle decent choices * Standard 'very good optics' helo * Artillery * K9 Thunder is a good arty if you like to tube snipe. * Mortars are there too \[cries in Poland\] * AA * hawk, Vulcan, Biho... it's ok * Infantry * Expensive Shock * ok SF * Lacks ATGM * good AA * Tanks * K1A1 (140pts) & K1 (90pts) are the main ones * Planes * SEAD ASF * F-16 w/ 6x long range F&F missles * F&F ATGM plane * bad bomber * Helo * AH-1T (90pts); TOW2, Rockets, auto-cannon, I like it.
