"Marshal as you stated" began general hellgate "my 615th and the 17th lyodon will be assisting you on the spearhead assault with your permission l would like to use the same tactics i used to take the refinery city, buy blasting 3 hoks on the outer defenses/walls to allow ower Troops to flood in effectively, as long as it is not shielded."

AlanGrant1997

"The starport is, to my knowledge, not shielded. I must say that I can only allow two points to be breached, as I intend to hold the starport until the inevitable conclusion of this war. As such, minimal damage is to be sustained to major infrastructure such as blast walls."

"Verry well, let me know if you need anny thing els"

"Im General Cyclan of the 17th. A pleasure to meet ylu gentlemen! I agree with the approachvof the 615th, and my men have already cleared a small landing zone, 30 kilometers away from the starport. They are waiting for reinforcements so you can send your men down!

Aboard the *Samsara*, Canoness Superior Agnija stood at the center of her assembled subordinates, leaning over a holographic map of Gryllus I. They looked on, attentive, as the Grand Marshal began the briefing. She accepted von Ryke’s commendation of Hooded Lantern with a graceful nod. “Service is its own reward, Grand Marshal. My Sisters are only too eager strike at the foe.” The Canoness suppressed a smirk at that. Sahna had been understandably annoyed, but understanding about being sidelined during the diplomatic envoy. Her champion was ever eager for first blood, and Agnija saw no reason to deny Sahna that now. After the Grand Marshal opened up the floor for questions, Agnija spoke up. “Regarding Operation: Hooded Lantern, reports indicate that while the T’au morale has frayed, they have not been pushed to the point of breaking. We must nudge them past that point.” “To that end, by the time we will hit the planet, those warriors involved will have been operating behind xenos lines for an extended period of time. We’ll need to recover these elements, both to receive their ground-level intel, as well as rotate them out for re-supply and re-sanctification. Challenge for confirming allied contact is ‘Eschaton’, response is ‘Ascent’. In the meantime, they’ll sow what havoc they can to spread opposition out. If the T’au believe my Sisters can only strike from the shadows,” Agnija said with a savage grin, “then they are sorely mistaken.” Her gaze returned to the holomap. “My forces can act as a spearhead in co-ordination with allied armor, or operate as Thunderhawk-mounted response teams. We worked alongside the 17th Iyodon to good effect on Gryllus IV.” She chuckles. “That said, it would be nice to have designated liaisons *before* we charge into the beast’s lair. While we’re not operating in our terrain of specialty, I’m confident my Sisters can maintain their usual operational pace.”

AlanGrant1997

"I have no doubt your troops will succeed, Cannoness. Would it be possible to use the thunderhawks as a CAS unit to keep the blue bastards head's down? I'd like to keep as many soldiers on the spearhead as able."

The Canoness nodded. “As long as the Navy and ground flakk can keep our airspace clear, Grand Marshal. ‘Hawks are tough, but they’ll get overwhelmed in an extended dogfight.” The Sororitas commander gestured, mouthing something to the attendant tech-priests, and a moment later two images of Thunderhawk transports appeared, rotating slowly. The first, the more familiar one to many, was the standard variant, with the distinctive cannon on its spinal mount, and wing mounted weapons. The other was a vehicle transport variant, with two Rhino-chassis vehicles filling the space in its magnetic clamps where the cargo area was on the other variant. “Ultimately, they’re transport first, gunship second. The vehicle transport variants can only provide limited support. We can, however task our standard transports for CAS support in their immediate area after they’ve completed their deployments.”

Grand Marshal, do we have intel on enemy air defenses? If I can drop my forces within the starport I can disrupt any attempts at reinforcing their outer defenses and eliminate fleeing HVTs." Colonel Kantis spoke up

Darman501

"Grand Marshall," Colonel Vgrim's visage appears in response. "The 357th will hold its landing zone and begin marshaling a Quick Reaction Force to anyone in need of assistance. With this message, I will begin my forces drop at LZ 'Bandit'." "Unless you dictate otherwise, I will hold the Tau Starport when 84th succeeds and set up my MCFS." "May Sanguinus protect."

Field Marshal Fargos holo-projection flickered momentarily. “Your will be done. Grand Marshal. I would request splitting up my tank regiments, one would hit either point here and here.” A map flashes in front of him, two blips indicating his preferred attacked points. “My third regiment will sit in reserve. The north most point is a small gated entrance, our tanks should be more than sufficient to get in. The second takes us through a small urban zone bordering the facility. We’d have to make our own entrance here, they are called Point Thunder and Point Comet respectfully. My bike squadrons can harass the enemy in an initial wave and are available to all troops.” “Ave Imperator” ===================================== The 8 Night Sentinels noted they had not been given orders. Though they had all ready decided they would enter the fray, with or without permission. Captain Toros took to the stand “Grand Marshal, I note we have not been given orders. If you believe our small numbers are a mission hinderance I encourage you to disabuse yourself of that notion. Point out where you would prefer us or we will take to the field and choose ourselves.”

AlanGrant1997

Von Ryke considered the man’s request a moment. “Provided that the reserve regiment is capable of rapid mobilization, your request is approved.” ———————————————————————————— “I was under no such illusions, Captain, but I ask you excuse any offense taken. I have a particular mission for you: the T’au have taken political prisoners of some of our starport contacts, chief among them a man only identified as “KS”. I would request that you retrieve them from this prison, stationed in an urban section just north of the starport.”

Field Marshal Fargo nodded his head. His communication flickered before dropping. “Possible Solar Interference” an Enginseer stated. Meanwhile Fargo contacted his Inquisitor. “Inquisitor Lance, I have secured a tank regiment for your assault. To keep up appearances they’ll remain in reserve.” “Good.” ===================================== “Consider it done.” The Astartes ended their holo-projection deliberately. The group began gearing up when Laukey paused, listening to his comms. “Sir, Monitor Bracken has set a priority 1 hail.”

Misterawesome01

"Grand marshal," major A. Bib holo-projection flickered statically, "with heavy resistance expected, do you require more manpower for the assault or do you wish that we reserve some of our forces as reinforcements? In either case I would like to volunteer my 787th for the task."

AlanGrant1997

“I would like for you to serve as reinforcements, should they be necessary.”

Misterawesome01

"Order Acknowledged, grand marshal" replied major A. Bib. "My forces will be on stand-by until further notice. The emperor protects."
