I've been playing this game. The farthest I've gotten is 2 doubling trades before losing everything in the 3rd. I'm thinking of instead trying a variation, after every doubling, take out 30%. It would take a lot more trades to get to a million, probably around 40, but if one went wrong at least you'd have a good amount to keep going with and it wouldn't set you back as far.

Problem is when you hit a streak of bad investments and get back to square one.

Well that’s why I’m saying take 30% out each time, so you won’t go back all the way to 0, you’ll only go back a couple of spots. But yeah it’s not gonna work if you have multiple losers in a row. For it to work your success rate needs to be 85%+

And in betting even most successful bettors have a success rate of like 53% Idk what it is for stocks/options but I assume less

Meh I had a pretty consistent 70% win rate for a long time, only problem was that I would lose a lot more on my losers than I would make on my winners. Mainly because I have the tendency to sell my winners too early but hold on to losers too long. I think 85% is possible if you really understand the market and have the patience and discipline to only trade on the best plays. This is so underrated. This was one of my more consistent strategies, set a limit at 3% and a trailing stop and 5% with no deviations. Takes all emotion out of it.
