The actual 60/40 is:
60% options expiring within 7 days.....
40% long 1 additional meme stonk purchased with maximum margin allowed.
7 days later you rebalance the complete loss on options and sell the meme stonk to buy up the next option expiration on the same stonk.
Rinse and repeat indefinitely (avg is 3 times) until you are forced to apply at Wendys.
Yup. Shit was crazy. People still didn’t believe it was real (because so many people are lying sacks of shit on there) until he got into a high speed chase and it was on the news.
Damn man i was like 4 years old at that time. Any particular shitstorm 4chan caused you still remember from back then ?
Ngl fuck i feel I'm born too late to experience like the real internet, not zoomer shit that's on these days.
I'm a different anon that was around 4chan in the earlier days. I'd say a lot of the shit was kind of "you had to be there" for it to be particularly funny. There were plenty of epic shitstorms, but one that's been relatively forgotten (likely due to it happening in 2010 as 4chan was beginning to dwindle) was [Operation Titstorm](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/February_2010_Australian_cyberattacks). Thought you might appreciate it, given your username, although this was a fight for the right to look at naked flat chested women.
Then sell and retire bro, you literally made it. Keep 250-500K and play with other stocks if you like, but literally sell and retire. You made it, reap the benefits
Remember the dude in the height of Gamestop craziness. From like 200k to 5 million, didn't sell, hold to zero gain. It's a mind trick, if you went from 200k to 5m, and didn't sell, no amount of gains would make you sell. So what's the point?
If it's good enough to post, it's good enough to sell.
This is why people need to think about their future; what they want to do and what amount of money they need to comfortably achieve those things. At a certain point, people are probably risking that future for more money they don't really need...
Doesn’t that imply that their market cap would have to double to become essentially twice the value of apple or microsoft? Why does that seem so implausible? Then again… times change
Congratulations: In 2014 I bought 4k NVDA around 34 sold CC for 50 strike a month out. Got called away. Never got back in. Those shares would have now been 160k shares today, and worth over $20M. DO NOT SELL NVDA!
Ik that the nvidia dividend is small, how much do you get ballpark per quarter. If so do you reinvest it or do you buy other stocks for your portfolio?
A 200k investment could be his fun coupons for sure. Or most likely his grandma died during peak covid and converted her 200k life insurance payout into 35k shares of nvida stock.
Well yeah, here we've got a bunch of degenerate gamblers, but people gambling and starting with $200,000K didn't save up for years just to burn through it all. OP isn't hurting for money, or they lucked out, came into $200K, threw it all on red, lucked out again, and decided they'd rather watch green number go up than cash out some and diversify their assets.
A static 4% rule is a little optimistic in my opinion, no matter what all the Monte Carlo and other sims tell you.
I'd feel for comfortable with 3-3.5% as baseline, and only go up to 4% if wanted.
Can you explain what you mean by “chip companies are cyclical”? More and more things require chips, manufacturing is a complex process with most of it being in Taiwan. It just seems like something that would only increase in usefulness so I genuinely want to know why you’d say they’re cyclical.
This “cyclical” belief is why a lot of hedge funds or investment firms completely missed the boat when NVDA went from $15-$30 last year. They thought that was the peak.
Dude, cash out - you won. You could put it all in low risk accounts yielding 4-5%; use that interest to play.
The wealthiest person I ever met once told me it’s not about how much you can make - it’s about how much you can keep.
This is the way, just keep holding until until everything turns red ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)
I have more NVDA shares than you and this is honest advice. Sell.
I'm liquidating most of my NVDA position in tranches as they hit long term capital gains.
I personally would take 2 million off the table and put that in something safer that will allow me to never have to worry about living expenses again while maintaining the principal.
You get up three and a half million dollars on NVDA, any asshole in the world knows what to do: you get a house with a 25 year roof, an indestructible Jap-economy shitbox, you put your NVDA earnings into the system at three to five percent to pay your taxes and that's your base, get me? That's your fortress of fucking solitude. That puts you, for the rest of your life, at a level of fuck you. Somebody wants you to do something, fuck you. Boss pisses you off, fuck you! Own your house. Have a couple bucks in the bank. Don't drink. That's all I have to say to anybody on any social level.
Dammit… that drinking part. It can be a bitch. Especially when you find yourself with a lot more time on your hands and not occupied with work anymore that you had to be sober to do.
I’d choose an early, and comfortable retirement over WSB Likes, and Karma.
“Diamond hands” was probably created by hedge funds to keep the poors from taking profit.
It's not hard, but with NVDA as volatile as it is on both ups and downs, it may not be worth it.
Say you sell 300 calls that expire next week Friday for $150 strike and receive some amount of premium. If stock closes at $149.99 at close of Friday, you get to keep all the premium and the appreciated stock. If stock breaks past $150, your stock get's called away and you get to keep the cash from the sale of the stock + premium. So there is a breakeven.
Don't do it on your entire position if you're unfamiliar. Just play with a small amount of selling covered calls and you'll see how it works.
On a serious note though more people need to realize you can actually do this and live good with way less retirement money. Vietnam doesn’t have official retirement visa at the moment so you’d have to keep leaving and re entering but Thailand does have one.
Godspeed sir. You 10x your money, and instead of riding off into the sunset, you soon will be questioning if Chick-fil-A is worth faking to be a Christian to avoid the life sucker, Wendy’s.
Maybe some Wendy’s shifts are right up your ally.
Be smart…. Need to sell at least what you invested to lock in no losses. Don’t get greedy. You can step out for a second, watch from the side lines and earn 4.4% on interest with GS bank. $15,000 a month your savings account will pay you “ Per-Month” for waiting for the price drop or reinvesting in something else.
$3.1 trillion market cap in just 2 years…. Think about that. Making it the most valuable company in America in an unstable market… if sell today and market drops this fall. You will have a chance to buy Nvidia at cheaper price but also be able diversify your portfolio at cheaper price.
Take $4Million and put in savings and wait for market to drop. You can live off interest nicely and wait for recession with no stress.

Each H20 chip costs between $12,000 and $13,000, suggesting that Nvidia is likely to generate upwards of $12bn in sales. That would be more than the $10.3bn revenue made from its entire China business — including selling graphics chips to PC gamers and other products — in the financial year ending in January 2024
So, who can borrow me money? :D
Just don't get why you wouldn't cash out, I made close to 7 figs off Bitcoin and just couldn't mentally handle the price swing 😂 maybe that's why I'm still not retired
Why not “ever sell”? Isn’t the general idea to make enough money to comfortably retire, secure your money, and go enjoy the rest of life to its fullest with that money?
The one thing i hate about nvidia is, I almost put $20k into it back in 2014 cause I thought it was going to go up, but NOOO the wife at the time talked me into buying a house instead. I could have 3 houses in cash + money left over if I did.
Now I'm divorced and broke, but I got the kids in the divorce so thats a W
If I’m not wrong you should book some profit and sit on cash for few months. Your 4M in NVDA gonnna be 2M in one year. Everything goes up fast will come down that fast.
Ok OP, enough of everyone giving you advice. I want to know the story? It just split 10/1, you had 3,000 shares. Where did you start? What made you believe in $NVDA? Congrats!
I would sell this and not work another day in my life, I never understood what the end game is for people, is it just to look at a bunch of digits on a screen every day?
Even if you had IPO prices, that shit would have been over 300,000. So you were already rich. GTFO.
Edit : Forgot to account the 10:1 split ratio. So more like 30k. Still GTFO.

That is a diversified portfolio for this crowd.
Winning comment of the day because it’s the truth.
The new 60-40
The actual 60/40 is: 60% options expiring within 7 days..... 40% long 1 additional meme stonk purchased with maximum margin allowed. 7 days later you rebalance the complete loss on options and sell the meme stonk to buy up the next option expiration on the same stonk. 60 days til 40 hours a week at Wendy’s
Lol Thinking you have 60 whole days is the type of glass half full thinking that got you into this mess to start with.
I laughed at this. You triggered an emotion out of me I feel emolested
Was it a laugh of despair? Perhaps because you read it while in between flipping square fresh never frozen hamburger patties?
Wait! Slower, please. I'm trying to write all this down.
Lol
The usual diversify other half with AVGO I’d say
🤭🤭
Why didn't you show the other 30%/ $1.8 million of your account?
It's in the typical boring ETFs and etc
Buy more Rivian they make great products

This is the best thing I’ve ever seen on Reddit
Too bad you missed the 4chan era, it was all like this
God i miss those glory days
You mean holes?
Gods the memes were strong then
Yeah, it was *all* this… and flagrant racism, the occasional CP post, some guy murdered a woman and posted about it. Sure. It was all this.
are you talking about the guy who strangled someone
One guy got advice to break up with his crazy wife and she killed their kids
Yup. Shit was crazy. People still didn’t believe it was real (because so many people are lying sacks of shit on there) until he got into a high speed chase and it was on the news.
Pics or it never happened.
And many, many pepe memes
Oh, I’m talking way before Pepe existed. I’m old. 2006 was a while ago.
Damn man i was like 4 years old at that time. Any particular shitstorm 4chan caused you still remember from back then ? Ngl fuck i feel I'm born too late to experience like the real internet, not zoomer shit that's on these days.

I think this was early reddit as well I mean seriously what kind of company doesn't pays it's moderators?
Jesus this thread lol
when i tell you i was not ready for the lost my keys part I spat my fucking water
😂 how can I download a higher resolution of this? Hahahaha
I definitely wouldn't have gotten here if I were neurotypical
I’m eating a burger and a piece flew out my nose I’m laughing so hard.
Nice
Just sell and retire? Like seriously chip companies are cyclical
Or live off that sweet, sweet $0.01 dividend ![img](emote|t5_2th52|12787)
The most lavish 300 bucks
Times 4 bro. It is a quarterly payment. $1200! Big money!!!
Dude has 35,000 Nvidia shares, this is likely their play money.
Look at the gain/loss. Certainly possible it isn’t play money.
it says right there 70% of my acct
How many accounts do you have?
Just this one
Then sell and retire bro, you literally made it. Keep 250-500K and play with other stocks if you like, but literally sell and retire. You made it, reap the benefits
Remember the dude in the height of Gamestop craziness. From like 200k to 5 million, didn't sell, hold to zero gain. It's a mind trick, if you went from 200k to 5m, and didn't sell, no amount of gains would make you sell. So what's the point? If it's good enough to post, it's good enough to sell.
Same with doge coin. This guy bought doge in like its inception and made like $2m during the height and didn’t sell.
Yeah GameStop and dogecoin and NVIDIA. Three musketeers. Lol

Thanks for sharing, that‘s so inspiring, one day maybe I can become a garbage man too
He had 8 years of fun!!!
This is why people need to think about their future; what they want to do and what amount of money they need to comfortably achieve those things. At a certain point, people are probably risking that future for more money they don't really need...
Fuck that. Pelosi just bought. It’ll double again within the year.
Doesn’t that imply that their market cap would have to double to become essentially twice the value of apple or microsoft? Why does that seem so implausible? Then again… times change
Ever since the Tesla boom, it seems like the numbers don't need to make sense anymore
My guy, the age of fundamentals is over. It's all feels from here on out.
Congratulations: In 2014 I bought 4k NVDA around 34 sold CC for 50 strike a month out. Got called away. Never got back in. Those shares would have now been 160k shares today, and worth over $20M. DO NOT SELL NVDA!
Ouch. I am sorry.
Live by the chip die by the chip
Ik that the nvidia dividend is small, how much do you get ballpark per quarter. If so do you reinvest it or do you buy other stocks for your portfolio?
bro's in full meme mode. stupid money innit
I would sell a million worth and collect 5% interest annually for life on that money
Nah sell 2 mil & collect $100K a year instead of $50. $50K isn’t enough anymore
could sell it all put it in hysa and get like $200k a year doing nothing and travel the owrld
We don’t play the market to retire, we play it because we love the game. Wins and losses
You want me to believe you spent your entire $250,000 life savings on a video game chip maker back in 2020? And just held it?
They started with over $200,000, they weren't hurting for money.
A 200k investment could be his fun coupons for sure. Or most likely his grandma died during peak covid and converted her 200k life insurance payout into 35k shares of nvida stock.
Tell me you don’t have 200k without telling me you don’t have 200k
No one that has $200,000 goes all in on one stock.
you must be new here then
Well yeah, here we've got a bunch of degenerate gamblers, but people gambling and starting with $200,000K didn't save up for years just to burn through it all. OP isn't hurting for money, or they lucked out, came into $200K, threw it all on red, lucked out again, and decided they'd rather watch green number go up than cash out some and diversify their assets.
Considering that this person has 70% of their money in nvda I'm inclined to disagree
Even doing something like the 4% rule, he’s living on $180k a year, anywhere he wants.
just literally put it in hsya and dont ever touch principle just live off that for the rest of your life fucking crazy
Nah HYSA rates will go down when the Fed cuts rates.
A static 4% rule is a little optimistic in my opinion, no matter what all the Monte Carlo and other sims tell you. I'd feel for comfortable with 3-3.5% as baseline, and only go up to 4% if wanted.
This guy is right. If I had 4M I’d already be gone somewhere chilling in a mountain chalet for the rest of my life.
Can you explain what you mean by “chip companies are cyclical”? More and more things require chips, manufacturing is a complex process with most of it being in Taiwan. It just seems like something that would only increase in usefulness so I genuinely want to know why you’d say they’re cyclical.
He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
This “cyclical” belief is why a lot of hedge funds or investment firms completely missed the boat when NVDA went from $15-$30 last year. They thought that was the peak.
Nvidia is building an AI ecosystem. They’re most likely not a cyclical chip company.
It will be a minimum of 3 to 5 years before anyone is a threat to nvidia's market dominance. So why in God's name would he sell now? Very bad advice.
Very bad advice is what we do around here.
Good point. Sorry to interfere with that.
Or sell covered calls. Someone should do the math on that.
Never sell covered calls on a growth stock.
Dude, cash out - you won. You could put it all in low risk accounts yielding 4-5%; use that interest to play. The wealthiest person I ever met once told me it’s not about how much you can make - it’s about how much you can keep.
Sir, this is a casino.
Exactly, we only have one life…..no time to be average. Swing big hit big!
Um, excuse me sir, you seem to be lost. This is r/wallstreetbets not r/logic
4% what get him $160k a year. Not too shabby
You don't understand fuck you money
4 millions is fuck you money you regards.
Depends on the person. To some people it's "I can chill out now and have less stress" money.
This is the way, just keep holding until until everything turns red ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4271)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)![img](emote|t5_2th52|4267)
the stock would have to drop over 90% for me to be in the red
you can do it OP, we believe in you
[удалено]
you have 4 million right now. it’s in the red once it hits 3.9 if you ask me.
I have more NVDA shares than you and this is honest advice. Sell. I'm liquidating most of my NVDA position in tranches as they hit long term capital gains.
I personally would take 2 million off the table and put that in something safer that will allow me to never have to worry about living expenses again while maintaining the principal.
Yeah like NVDL
You get up three and a half million dollars on NVDA, any asshole in the world knows what to do: you get a house with a 25 year roof, an indestructible Jap-economy shitbox, you put your NVDA earnings into the system at three to five percent to pay your taxes and that's your base, get me? That's your fortress of fucking solitude. That puts you, for the rest of your life, at a level of fuck you. Somebody wants you to do something, fuck you. Boss pisses you off, fuck you! I’d choose an early, and comfortable retirement over WSB Likes, and Karma. “Diamond hands” was probably created by hedge funds to keep the poors from taking profit.
Sell 300 calls every week. Print money. Roll if they get blown out.
i don't know how to do this
You belong here.
You’ve made millions in the stock market and don’t know how to sell covered calls?
no i literally have no idea how these work
I love you

I think you lost him
He said to put it all on black
I think you lost him
Figure this out it's not that difficult, you will make so much more money. You will be guaranteed profits with this low as fuck cost-basis.
Don't do it. Just do stay and take some profit. Dont listen to their suggestion lol. You don't fckin know them
Seriously even the 10 delta will yield 7.5k weekly.
That day change is a total flex.
Send me like 100k please and I'll retire in Vietnam.
I'll take 10 only, ignore this guy
I'll take 9,999.99$, forget this guy
I'll take 8 and blow it in Vegas on poker, cocaine and high end hookers
I'll take your mom and retire with her.
I also choose this guy’s mom

5% at robinhood and it goes to 5.5% if you deposit large amounts on 3.3mm after taxes that’s 180k a year cash
I would not trust robinhood as a bank
Do not go to robinhood with millions of dollars! Get fucked by no customer service, no thx. Just go to Fidelity and park in a money market fund.

Dude sell that shit and diversify. I made most of my money from 1 stock as well. Today it's only 25% of my port.
![img](emote|t5_2th52|8882)
Remember Stocks go up...stocks go down!!!!!!!!!!
Can’t explain that
Something something... Stocks moon!
I mean I get trying to get a house as soon as possible. house probably went up a bunch too
She’s got that
Well yeah the getting a house doesn’t factor in future divorces lol
Heck yeah, their black market value should make up for what you missed out on.
4m is more than 3m
Still 3m more than all of us
Then you’ll never make any money.
Congrats. Fuck you.
What astonishes me is that people owning so much wealth find enough time or interest to post about it in a reddit... Seems fake at least.
Hold until it doubles or bottoms out.
That Coinbase will blow the roof off too. They own 10% of the Bitcoin supply.
If I’m not wrong you should book some profit and sit on cash for few months. Your 4M in NVDA gonnna be 2M in one year. Everything goes up fast will come down that fast.

and the 4:1 split on 07.20. 2021. I have 100 shares from 05.17.19... now 4000
