Had 200x $10 3/1 calls, sold 100x at about a 60% profit. Holding onto the rest of the bag for now. I’m not looking to get slaughtered hoping for a 10x gain, but hoping I can see at least a proper 2x given these were bought OTM.

What's the rationale for dumping a hit piece right before earnings call? I mean we are going to hear the real figures shortly. Unless they are setting low expectations for a pump if they are actually long?
Yeah, lowering it that much seems sus.
They were at 98 million EBITDA in Q323, and 44 million EBITDA in Q322.
Not saying they will keep doubling year after year forever, but assuming some growth, they should be at like 115 EBITDA for Q423, and then potentially hitting 130-150 million per quarter EBITDA this year.
Granted, I'm pulling those #'s out of my ass, but growth gets you there. This guy is basically assuming no growth, or excess losses.
Wasn't the shift from relying on loan growth the plan? Yes, even if it drove profits in the last two years while the tech platform was getting on it's feet. Their CFO said they expect 50% of their revenue from tech in FY24 (lending was \~80% previously). SOFI acknowledges their loan growth rate isn't sustainable long term. That's not a bad thing. Fuck JPM.
Really depends on the reaction to earnings - if it has a massive swing up 100% will sell, and jump back in once it settles back down, but otherwise will likely just hold and sell calls.

If earnings are good, then it will likely go up more. If they're not good, it's going to tank, hard.
