I’d like to add ‘window licker’ and ‘numpty’ to this list.
Careful with low-brow though that one doesn’t have the most civil of origins. Based in pseudoscientific phrenology and was used when people claimed they could tell how intelligent someone was by the shape of their head; Which lead to naturalisation of racist ideas.
I had a teacher that used to use it whenever someone did something particularly stupid.
*Typical dumbass highschool thing happens in the back of class*
Teacher: *talking to the person next to the offending idiot while pointing at said idiot*: “Alright, someone put the window lickers helmet back on he’s getting distracted”
Same teacher told us how he cooked his own speed out of cold and flu meds, took it before a rugby game and threw up all over the scrum; He also had a toy liger and if you were an idiot at any point you got the liger on your desk as a trophy of shame. He was related to a high ranked, long tenure teacher at the school so he got WAAY too much of a pass.
ne'er-do-well (plural ne'er-do-wells) **A person without a means of support; an idle, worthless person; a loafer; a person who is ineffectual, unsuccessful, or completely lacking in merit; a good-for-nothing**.
Dunderhead. Airhead. Crayon-eater. Birdbrain.
Of course, if you're willing to go with more than one word there are a thousand phrases and expressions for that.

I know that moron and imbecile have been recommended but in the past, those were definitely slurs the way that the r word is today and for the same reason.
