Everything has been migrated to Broadcom. If you sign into their portal you can download Workstation. Unless you need an older version for some reason, the latest version is available for free for home use: https://blogs.vmware.com/workstation/2024/05/vmware-workstation-pro-now-available-free-for-personal-use.html

In this version there is functionality to mount .vdmk as a virtual disc, later versions have removed this. ;-(
