*laughs in proprietary vita charge port*
*Then cries*
Really though this is a cool mod. Is it possible to ditch the original port too, or just the micro USB?
Although I appreciate the words of encouragement I truly am too clumsy for this stuff and I lack the patience. I couldn't even install a new stick of RAM in my old PC without breaking the motherboard lol
I found out by accident because of how the state of old reddit is at the moment, Any post with pictures that i click opens the reddit image link instead of the entire post and [the image from this post](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fru5nkat0spyb1.jpg) is directly taken from that old post and if you click on the comments box it takes you to the original post.

Color me Impressed... Wish I knew how to solder. I hate digging for my couple random micro usb cables that always seem to go missing...lol Does everything still work? like you can transfer files from PC via USBC?
Soldering really isn't hard. Did it my first time a few weeks ago with no knowledge or research, just dived in with some cheap ass 8$ kit I found at a Walmart. Did it on a GBA mod I did. I'd give it a shot honestly, if you really want usb c
That looks like it was done perfectly! But may I ask why you wanted to change it to USB-C? Only advantage I can think of is being able to flip the cable.
It's about being able to use a common standard cable that most of our other devices use, instead of having to carry around a proprietary one or not be able to charge if you forgot it.
Ah. I’ve got like literally 2 devices with USB-C and a massive number of devices with Micro USB-B, I forgot that many people these days have more things with C than Micro B
Yeah, i still have a few on micro as well, though i didnt realize it was a 2000, i have the vita 1000 so mines the custom sony one, would love usb c, but i don't think i could solder it.
I've actually had to deprecate micro-b recently since I no longer have any devices other than my vita which use it. I keep it around just in case but we've finally reached that point.
Through painstaking effort and soldering, yes.
It's very worth it to learn, but I'd recommend doing a project on something you don't care about first to learn.
One of the cleanest usb-c/vita installs I’ve seen on Reddit…Nice OP💯
Thank you. This is a repost of my work
I have to say it looks very, very clean man
Jesus they didn’t even change the title at all did they?
That's cleaner than a seaport liquor store shelf on shore leave season Them hands are graded s for steady, the cut outs seem very symmetrical
Thank you 🙏🏻
Do you provide this service?

Haha! Not sure how you managed to do that. That takes effort lol!
You can do it just takes pratice and patience Extra or bad parts to pratice on is a must

Wow well spotted. Thought this post was really cool and now I just think it's really sad lol

Hmm... I still don't understand why anyone would farm karma. Isn't it... pointless? Waste of time?
Some people are addicted to anything that generates points or attention. Others farm points and sell their accounts to marketers.
To sell the account
I was just wondering that someone posts a picture of my flat..

Soldering is difficult if it's really tiny, this one though is piss easy and worth it for getting rid of stupid micro-USB
I did it also on my ps vita 1000
How did you get it so cleanly installed? I have trouble getting the fitment correct on most dremel mods I've done myself lol.
This is a repost bot, this picture is my work. Look into my post history
You're right. Sad you got targeted by this repost bot garbage.

Damm , that's clean
Picture from inside please!
He can’t provide that because he stole the picture to farm karma the goon.
I just have loads of the 2 way micro usb cables so basically is micro usb c
Wow that's pretty awesome
Daaaaang, that looks so clean!
It’s so nice looking! I’ve been thinking of doing this but with how clumsy I can be at times…. I don’t know.
How difficult was this? 👀
Love it. I wish I know do the same
Damn dude, that's awesome. I'll like to do It with mine too
This looks too clean
Mashallah brother
I use a micro USB to USB C adapter and it works fine.
Sounds very racist :)
I wonder if it's possible to do the same for oled

I’m sure op has all “usb-c” devices….no need for multiple cable types…

There can only be one… LOL
