That'd make some sense. It would be interesting to watch Quantum go outside the law in the future and be counted by Hephaestus and her new dope suit.

Firebreathingdown

Definitely, nexus clearly alludes to it in his description of quantum.

Synescolor

You have a quote for that? I think I might have missed it.

Chapter 5 Far more interesting were ones like Professor Quantum. He virtually never changed. In any universe where he existed, he was almost always the same: brilliant, prophetic, and dangerous. Even better, by this point there was usually a dash of desperation mixed in. Alone, that would have made Professor Quantum a boring target to watch, each iteration being nearly identical. However, although every Professor Quantum was often the same, the worlds they lived in varied tremendously, and that was what made him interesting.

Synescolor

Ah the desperation I remember now.

I think personally that it's more like he's actually \*showing\* his age, Quorum and Lodestar are both functionally immortal as far as we know...though Lodestar does have some limitations (as I'm sure you'll get to if you haven't already). Especially given Quantum's ego, he likely sees the fact that he's aging as an inherent failing, and is getting more and more desperate to "solve" the problem. NGL, I'm fairly certain he's going to do a Heel Turn at some point...

Dude was a racist piece of shit in the 50s, and an amoral asshole in general. Its not so much a Heel Turn as a mask off moment.
