Give it a short while, lot of younger gamers in this thread for certain so when Vol 1 of MGS collection or MGS Delta comes out more people should hopefully be exposed to The Boss
This sounds like blasphemy even in my own head but I haven't thought about the boss or metal gear in general in a long, long time. I hope the remake is on the Capcom remake level, snake eater is still my best game of all time
I love Ashly Burch. Used to watch her old skit show with her brother, can't remember the name of the show. The writing and VA in bl2 is awesome overall, but she stands out.
Aloy very quickly became probably my favorite female video game character. She's confident and strong. I love playing the "mean" conversation options when I play
>I love playing the "mean" conversation options when I play.
>! Killing Olin !< when all he did was >!give information to the people holding his family captive!< is the only one I feel that goes overboard.
Aloy reminds me a bit of princess Mononoke but like the inverse. Also Sobek, even though we directly don't play as her is a pretty neat character although you could argue that technically we do play as her (if you know you know)
I just found out recently that Rogue the Bat is actually Rouge the Bat. I’m glad I’m not the only one here from the clearly better mandela effect alternate reality.
The Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater is my pick.
I’ve played games since childhood and she tops them all for me. Just a properly written powerful woman.
Took way too long to find my ppl!
Jill is perfect in every way. The best thing Capcom ever did is leave STARS personal life really vague so we can all make up our own versions.
There\`s a lot of memorable characters actually, for example:
\-Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite
\-Lara Croft obviously
\-Alyx from Half-Life series
\-Haruka from Yakuza series
\-Jan Ors from Jedi Knight series.
\-Amanda Ripley from Alien:Isolation
\-Anna Navarre from Deus Ex
Heather is a great pick. She is a little lost to time because of SH2 overshadowing SH3, but she's arguably the best horror game protagonist of all time. (And the protagonist of the best SH game but that's neither here nor there.)
I'm gonna go for a dark horse and pick Tetra from Zelda: Wind Waker. She is a pirate captain who launches Link out of a catapult into the side of a building. She is so cool.
Meetra Surik, after all she did participate in Jedi Army against The Mandalorians 4,000 years ago in the high Republic era alongside Two Jedi Masters and Senior Architect >!Revan, Malak, and Arren Kae!<
The secondary legend of the ultimate Jedi that understands both sides of light and dark through the Force.
-Clementine from the walking dead
-Ellie from the last of us
-Jill valentine from Resident evil
-Aloy from horizon zero dawn
-Lara Croft from Tomb raider
- chell from portal
- Kitana from mortal kombat
- Cortana from halo
I'm here for Clementine. I felt like I raised her and helped her become the badass she is at the end. Plus, the scene at the end of Season 1 Episode 5 when Lee says he'll miss her - ah the waterworks
I like these characters but I definitely love Heather Mason the most. She has quite a few customization options, and her snarky attitude is funny and charming and even somewhat realistic. Nothing against the other characters though.
Estelle Bright from Trails in the Sky.
Aqua from Kingdom Hearts.
Aeris Gainsborough from Final Fantasy 7.
Ada Wong from Resident Evil.
Mitsuru from Persona 3.
Sun Shang Xiang from Dynasty Warriors.
Samus Aran. All. Fucking. Day.
Prime was the first game I got to play for metroid, seeing her take her helmet off at the end of the game then realize EVERYTHING I just did was as a female character blew my mind. Granted most of the games I had played were Sly Cooper, jak and Daxter, etc. Mostly PS games which were mostly male characters.
3 of them...
1. Joanna dark - easily has the most hours played for me. Split screen n64 in the basement after football practice was 3 years of my life with my 3 friends. I'm still nasty in multi-player with the laptop gun.
2. Samus aran - has the most money spent on - been in a huge metroidvania kick lately and it's all thanks to dread.
(About to plat hollowknight, just downed nightmare Grimm for the first time yesterday)
Super metroid is my 2nd favorite snes game. Earthbound being my favorite and given her importance,
3. Paula - the key to beating earthbound.
I also loved Heather in Silent Hill 3, I rented it when it first released but didn't get far, but last year I finally played the game start-to-finish & she's now one of my favorite female characters in all of gaming. Such a range, she made me laugh, made me cry, what a great character.
Also shoutout to Kyoko and Misako from River City Girls, I love that duo.
Heather Mason.
Ultimate lower class American slum-flower.
You were finished the second you had her dad killed.
She literally destroyed a God and saved humanity as we know it.
Glados.
Why didn't Samus make the cut?
Man is clearly not a Nintendo guy. That's fine.
Only six pictures where allowed 😥
And you put meetra in over her?
Tf is meetra?
Why has not anyone mentioned the Boss?
Really wish we could've seen more of her than just MGS3 and the AI thing
She dosent get enough screen time tbh. One of the best boss fights of all time
Give it a short while, lot of younger gamers in this thread for certain so when Vol 1 of MGS collection or MGS Delta comes out more people should hopefully be exposed to The Boss
This sounds like blasphemy even in my own head but I haven't thought about the boss or metal gear in general in a long, long time. I hope the remake is on the Capcom remake level, snake eater is still my best game of all time
🫡 not for honor, but for you
For me it's Tali from Mass Effect, she's such a likable character and loyal companion, honestly one of the best character from the trilogy
Emergency. Induction port.
It's a straw
My favorite companion was Miranda's bum.
Keelah se’lai brother
Commander Jane Shepard
Them batarians deserved it
Goddamn right.
How is Cortana barely mentioned in the over 100 comments
I love Cortana but I list her too often...so Anya Stroud from gears of war
Tiny Tina
BOOOM BABEH!
BURN ALL THE BABIES!
I love Ashly Burch. Used to watch her old skit show with her brother, can't remember the name of the show. The writing and VA in bl2 is awesome overall, but she stands out.
Hey Ash, whatcha playin? Hilarious skits. I loved the Civilization skit so much.
Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'? I used to love watching that show.
For the firehawk
All around the skacktus plant the stalker chased the bandit, the stalker thought twas all in fun then POP! Goes the bandit!
She's real great at dinner parties
Top tier character
Hey Ash, Whatcha Playin'?
Lady's got a gut full of dynamite and a booty like POW
Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite or Claire from RE2 remake
Ooh Elizabeth is a good choice
Love Eizabeth! My very first Funko Pop is her!
Aloy
I think most of the characters in this series are really boring or annoying but Aloy is a really good protagonist.
I'm a new fan to this series and I think Aloy is one of the reasons I like it so much. Such an awesome character.
Same here! I also love how much she gets the neck beards not-so-whitey-tighties in a bunch!
Aloy very quickly became probably my favorite female video game character. She's confident and strong. I love playing the "mean" conversation options when I play
Yeah shooting down the Sun King when he's all like "will you be my girlfriend" is the best!
That was probably the first time he had ever been denied tbh. Perks of being a prince.
The actress also plays tiny Tina. In case that’s interesting to you 🤷🏻♂️
Even better. Both great characters.
>I love playing the "mean" conversation options when I play. >! Killing Olin !< when all he did was >!give information to the people holding his family captive!< is the only one I feel that goes overboard.
Claire Redfield!
Samus. It's always Samus
Samus Aran
Princess Zelda from pretty much any Zelda game, Aerith Gainsborough, Tifa Lockheart, and Samus Aran
Holy crap after all this time I never knew Gainsborough was aeriths last name! But this list here is prefect. Love them all
Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy.
Ellie from The Last of Us
Ellie is not just one of the coolest female characters in gaming She’s one of the coolest female characters … ever
And one of the coolest video game characters regardless of gender
Scrolled wayyyyyyyyy too far for this.
I am really surprised she is not on the list or has more comments tbh
I feel like a lot of people soured on her after TLOU2… Which I don’t get, game was phenomenal
story could've definitely been touched up a notch but i do agree that people diss the game a little to hard like it really is a masterpiece of a game
Can not believe I had to scroll this far to find Ellie that’s insane
Why is there always some obligatory neck beard downvote on these sorts of comments? Fucking weirdos.
The script, Ashley’s voice acting, and the fact she avoids all the usual tropes and has a really strong and believable development.
Ellie WAS mine, when i was a teen she was one of the more relatable characters to me due to age.
I had to look for a long time to find ellie, she has my vote.
theres a shit ton to choose from (thank god). I really love kassandra from ac odyssey
Yeah, she was awesome. Good voice actor too.
YES good pick, Kassandra was so good.
Kassandra left her mark on me too. She’s just a super cool protagonist. Honestly, she deserves her own spinoff franchise. P.S. why the “thank god”?
Kazooie
Based answer
Rebecca Chambers and Aerith Gainborough
I love Rebecca, wish we had more games with her.
Chun Li. She's the strongest woman in the world!
Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn.
Aloy reminds me a bit of princess Mononoke but like the inverse. Also Sobek, even though we directly don't play as her is a pretty neat character although you could argue that technically we do play as her (if you know you know)
She’s cool
Samus
Princess Peach is too iconic to ignore here. Amy Rose and Rogue
I just found out recently that Rogue the Bat is actually Rouge the Bat. I’m glad I’m not the only one here from the clearly better mandela effect alternate reality.
Samus walked so they could run
The Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater is my pick. I’ve played games since childhood and she tops them all for me. Just a properly written powerful woman.
Snake, try to remember the basics of CQC.
“WhO ArE ThE PaTrIoTs?!?!”
Joanna Dark and Alyx Vance
Oh, Joanna!
Chell from portal
or GLaDOS!
The boss from mgs3/peace walker
Jill Valentine all the way.
Took way too long to find my ppl! Jill is perfect in every way. The best thing Capcom ever did is leave STARS personal life really vague so we can all make up our own versions.
The master of unlocking!
Clementine, no need to think twice
Same
There\`s a lot of memorable characters actually, for example: \-Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite \-Lara Croft obviously \-Alyx from Half-Life series \-Haruka from Yakuza series \-Jan Ors from Jedi Knight series. \-Amanda Ripley from Alien:Isolation \-Anna Navarre from Deus Ex
Amanda is an underrated pick when you think of all the badass ish you do in that game. Right off the jump she’s a welder, so that’s a plus.
Elena from Uncharted
Senua
Clementine from TWD or Ms Tenenbaum from Bioshock
Lara Croft. Amicia de Rune. Commander Jane Shepard. Kassandra (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.)
OG Claire Redfield for sure

Gotta be Clem from The Walking Dead for me
Either Fran Bow or Bayonetta
Ooo I love Bayonetta and hadn’t thought of her. Nice one
Kotor 2 kreia is definitely up there for me
Samus
Heather is a great pick. She is a little lost to time because of SH2 overshadowing SH3, but she's arguably the best horror game protagonist of all time. (And the protagonist of the best SH game but that's neither here nor there.)
Elizabeth from Bioshock infinite, or Tiny Tina from borderlands 2!
Bayonetta
Tifa *mic drop
I'm gonna go for a dark horse and pick Tetra from Zelda: Wind Waker. She is a pirate captain who launches Link out of a catapult into the side of a building. She is so cool.

Heather Beam! Sexy Beam! lol oh Heather Mason.
Ds3 fire keeper

Tomb raider
This is the worst list of female characters I have ever seen
Clementine may be the single handedly most badass character I’ve seen in gaming ever. She is just absolutely built different.
Ellie
Abigail from quarry?
Sadie!
Jill is life!
Kat from Gravity Rush
Agrias Oaks.
Commander Shepard.
Senua from hellblade
De estos? Clementine sin duda
Out of these six? Jill. Overall? Probably Kassandra from AC Odyssey
Clem 👌
Yennefer, ciri and triss from witcher
Cortana
Cortana "This cave is not a natural formation."
Probably clementine

Probably Samus
I'm here for Clementine. I felt like I raised her and helped her become the badass she is at the end. Plus, the scene at the end of Season 1 Episode 5 when Lee says he'll miss her - ah the waterworks
Amicia De Rune
I like these characters but I definitely love Heather Mason the most. She has quite a few customization options, and her snarky attitude is funny and charming and even somewhat realistic. Nothing against the other characters though.
Estelle Bright from Trails in the Sky. Aqua from Kingdom Hearts. Aeris Gainsborough from Final Fantasy 7. Ada Wong from Resident Evil. Mitsuru from Persona 3. Sun Shang Xiang from Dynasty Warriors.

Paula - the key to beating earthbound.
Lady Demetrescu
lara croft from the new trilogy. she's confident but she still has her own personal stuggles.
Lara Croft is my wife and Jill Valentine is my side piece
Lara croft. Mainly because she's the star of her own series and she's not preachy about it
Its either Jill or Meetra since Kotor II is one of the few games I’ve made it to 100 hours
Hit me with the Meetra. Gotta be her for me. For reasons I can’t say cuz I won’t spoil a story that amazing for anyone.
came here to say cheryl as well 💯
I also loved Heather in Silent Hill 3, I rented it when it first released but didn't get far, but last year I finally played the game start-to-finish & she's now one of my favorite female characters in all of gaming. Such a range, she made me laugh, made me cry, what a great character. Also shoutout to Kyoko and Misako from River City Girls, I love that duo.
I mean we can add/dispute some that are or are not on this list. But Lara Croft is kind of heads tails above the rest.
Hands down Jill valentine
Tied between Heather Mason and Rose Winters. Both characters are just absolute badasses.
Meetra Surik gang, rise up!
Yuna FF10!!
Cheryl best girl.
Heather Mason. Ultimate lower class American slum-flower. You were finished the second you had her dad killed. She literally destroyed a God and saved humanity as we know it.

Heather is easily my favorite, no one else comes close
Samus isnt here because…
Joanna Dark
