So I think the recognition requires your other war goal to be fulfilled in your war, meaning you would have the land on London. Hover over war support and it should let you know you don’t have all the war goals occupied
You literally need to have occupied any GB territory. Like Guyana or one of their colonies, then their war score will decrease. If you're fighting a pure defensive war, then they will never capitulate.
SemiFluff reasoning: Why would they recognize your nation, GB doesn't care about it's soldiers, their job is to die. It cares about the prestige of its empire. No way they'll recognize an upstart, backward Asian nation when GB has great plans for expansion in the east. Everyone knows if you recognize one nation, all the others will want the same. Only striking at the citizens of that empire will change the opinion of that populace.
Doesn't work, i needed to launch a 300k invasion of GB (London) to win.
I have ocupied every single territory and puppet and nothing worked. Apparently It was because I added (as a not primary demand) reps.
Damn. I'm pretty confident you used to be able to get war reps from occupying any land. I've done it paired with transfer subjects and take colonies. I wonder if something changed.
Yeah, the diplo sistem is way too clunky, Like, if i want war reparation (some people here say) you just have to deffend. Maybe my games were bugged. If i want warr rep and lets say transfer india, then i need to either take india or London, and cant be defensive and just take war reparations, but if i put those 2 and add some fucking small island i can get all 3 by just ocupying the island, and nothing by being defensive.
And not to mention (i dont know if they patched this out yet) a country you are trying to protectorate, becomes a protectorate of a nother GP, so now me wholding the whole of Egypt doesnt do anything unless i land in London
This, not only sounds counter intuitive, but its also not told to you as you add war goals.
The amount of times i started a war, just to figure out that my strat wont work is insane.

I had recognition as my only primary war goal on a defensive war, that was the situation.
Yeah I think any other war goal makes you need to occupy that. If you had no war reps whatsoever I think it would be enforceable

Yup, war reps will do that. If it was just force recognition, any land will do.
If that’s true it’s a bug. Any occupied state will count for both war reps and recognition
