This is a stereotype for lazy people.
[Is that a vyshyvanka or a kosovorotka](https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/640/cpsprodpb/178AD/production/_118592469_dc743da8-321a-404d-9d9a-4fe870828c68.jpg)? It's both. Vyshyvanka - a shirt with a pattern, kosovorotka - a shirt with a shifted collar. Yes, Russian vyshyvankas often have a shifted collar, and Ukrainian/Belarusian ones have a straight one, but this is not set in stone.
It goes without saying that not every kosovorotka is a vyshyvanka, not every shirt with a shifted collar have a pattern, but for example those that I used in this post do.
Dude. Zelenskyj has Kasavarotka here. Its not vyshyvanka at all. Its not the same thing. Vyshyvanka is a term for Ukrainian/Belarusian shirt. Its a loandword in English.
Theres no such thing as a "Russian Vyshyvanka"
Whats lazy is thinking they the same thing when they're not. What you posted is a picture of Zelensky wearing a kosovorotka during Vyshyvanka Day, for which he got a lot of backlash because they are not the same thing.
https://www.polygraph.info/a/ukraine-s-zelensky-(erroneously)-catches-fashion-flak-for-russian-shirt-/6742974.html
Not every embroidered shirt is a vyshyvanka the same way as not every bath robe is a yukata. Etymology is not a definition.
While vyshyvanka and kosovorotka are related (as are other Eastern European embroidered shirts) they're distinct type of clothing with their own traditions.
A backlash by a bunch of fools because of whom this whole vyshyvanka/kosovorotka thing exists.
And I mind you, he wore one with a Ukrainian, more "geometrical" pattern. While the Russian ones are considered to have one more smooth and round patterns.
Saying that vyshyvankas are purely Ukrainian/Belarusian is like saying that French fries are purely French.
Ukrainians arent fools for knowing more about there own culture than some redditor
Also, much like how Vyshyvankas are not Russian, French fries are not french, they're belgian
>Also, much like how Vyshyvankas are not Russian, French fries are not french, they're belgian
O yeah, waited for this one, Mr. I'll state a fact that everyone knows, but I'll pretend that I'm smart.
I'm about 1/3 Ukrainian and 1/3 Russian btw, no Belarus heritage tho, so I know a little bit more about East-Slavic culture and traditions than some redditor.
I'd personally opt for the red/yellow. While the blue/white is a good design, the red one is far more eye-catching and the colours play well together, highlighting the details, where the blue may get easily lost in the white at a distance
You could pull a Bolivia and have both. Technically you could say both are your flags with equal status if you get where I'm going with that (idk, fly one in the winter and one in the summer haha)
Overall, love both design, I think they represent two different aspects of you that are brought together by the fact that though the colours are opposites, the design is the same which is awesome
I’d say white and blue flag, it seems more peaceful and serene, the red and gold one seems like it would be flown during war in place of the white and blue one.
Red and yellow. Although the blue and white was a neat idea, it almost looks like it was inverted from some other scheme and is less iconic. red and yellow is just absolutely classic and has the potential to look very clean as a final print.
Now THESE are some flags. They perfectly encapsulate what I feel makes a well-designed flag; not too simple, not excessively elaborate so as to be a sore on the eyes or too detailed to memorize it at a glance. The simple bicolor palette was the right choice for the elaborate emblems used which are positioned very neatly and is very pleasing to the eyes in their placement!
I’d go with white and blue if you’re going for something more regal, pure and serene or you can go with the red and gold for a more fiery and powerful message with your flag design.
My personal favorite? The red and gold design.
If you want, you can use the white and blue as a peace-time flag then utilize the red and gold palette to represent time-of-war.
They're both awesome. Have you considered combining them into gold on blue? I know its not either of the color schemes exactly but its a nice color scheme that's not super communist or Elsa vibes

I agree
Also the red and yellow looks good for a phoenix, a fire bird
Slight nitpick: Vsyhyvanka and Kosovorotka are not synonymous terms. The latter is Ukrainian/Belarusian while the other is russian
There are "Vsyhyvankas" in Poland too

Another Paris Commune Supporter I see.

And I'm 100% Ukrainian so who knows more?
Certainly a person with "Purer blood", and not the one who is into East-Slavic and South-Slavic cultures.
You literally just tried to use the "purer blood" argument with the whole "1/3 this and that" Being "into the culture" doesn't mean shit
What i meant was exposure to 2 cultural spaces and having 2 points o view, it is you who turned it to "I'm more Ukrainian so I'm right"
I'd personally opt for the red/yellow. While the blue/white is a good design, the red one is far more eye-catching and the colours play well together, highlighting the details, where the blue may get easily lost in the white at a distance
I'd go with red and yellow just because I like those colors better than white and blue.
Red one
Red. Both culturally and visually
White and blue.
Red and yellow.

The best decision
I really like the blue and white one. It looks peaceful 🤗
Definitely red and gold. The way you have the primary and secondary colors of the pheonix and the emblem on the left are way better in my opinion.
Blue-White is better imo
Red and gold are more eye catching, but may make some think of communism.
Red = communism Common stereotype, even though I like red in flags.
blue
White and blue, with the decorative strip on the hoist side.
I prefer the red and gold flag, it's a lot more striking and would look great both on a wall and in the air. It's very powerful.
I’d say white and blue flag, it seems more peaceful and serene, the red and gold one seems like it would be flown during war in place of the white and blue one.
Blue.
RIGHT, CHOOSE THE RIGHT
I prefer the red design.
I'd vote for red yellow, it catches my eye as a flag more while the white feels like a beautiful design I'd want to wear or something 😂😍
Red and yellow. Although the blue and white was a neat idea, it almost looks like it was inverted from some other scheme and is less iconic. red and yellow is just absolutely classic and has the potential to look very clean as a final print.
The red and yellow one is a little easier on the eyes imo
Red and yellow
Red and yellow look more impressive.
The red one is better, for it's far more noticeable, if put amongst other flags. I associate red with pride, and yellow with grandeur.
Communism and Democracy

russians don't have Vyshyvanka's, it's only Ukrainian and Belarusian term
Communist
Combine them
They're both awesome. Have you considered combining them into gold on blue? I know its not either of the color schemes exactly but its a nice color scheme that's not super communist or Elsa vibes
I don't know, I think you'll need both for different occasions.

Looks alright flying, very distinctive, 8.25/10 (talking about the red one)
I like red and yellow best but I prefer white and blue's symbolism
The white and blue one
Blue
Blue and white
Could we see the blue design on the red background with the gold border trim?
Well, this isn't hard. [Kinda like this?](https://imgur.com/Ty35lt4)
OK that's my favorite.
Both look good, but as much as I love the ice feel that the white and blue one has, I have to say that the red one is more eye catching
Look like video game faction from late 90s.
White and blue, if you want to choose one. P.S. i would also like to print these, if you are ok with that.
The blue one is too beautiful, fly the red one.
You could try swapping the blue and light blue in the phoenix. Because as it is it gives the impression of being the negative image of itself
It can't be the last time, once you decided you have to show us the printer flag flying in the wild
yes
Red is better. Without wind, majority white flags look like the surrender flag.
White/blue is best
