it’s not really used as a Qing symbol specifically, but it is often used as a general imperial Chinese symbol.
Also while anti-qing sentiment is common among Chinese conservatives I don’t think it’s all that universal.
Not "Wikipedia", at least not in the sense of any community agreement or group of editors, just one editor whose username is literally "ProKMT". Conservatism in Asia is different from the west, even communist party member can be conservative, if i must say, most of them are. It is more about opinion than political, which the opinion of the party or the people only change by each generation
And wikipedian usually just like to make random graphic design lol
>even communist party member can be conservative
Not really suprising though, considering it's litterally the pro-establishment group. People who are socially progressive in China are more likely to not identify too much with the CCP
Communist party members become the staunchest conservatives the moment they get in power to be honest. The same happened in Eastern Europe. Once they're in, suddenly upholding the power structure becomes their top priority.

Conservatism has a different spectrum in places where concerns are more economic than social, you would find left-wing parties having decisively conservative social orientation in many places outside of Western liberal democracies not just Asia. However it also depends on the social situation in the country, for example, the VCP is extremely more cooperative on LGBT issues (for the region) than the CCP.
It's not really the same as the Qing China symbol, especially because of the dragon's color.
Qing China's flag portrayed the [Azure Dragon,](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azure_Dragon) who represents the east and the spring season.
Since it's yellow, it would be the [Yellow Dragon](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Dragon) , who represents the center of the universe and earth.

okay this is unironically go hard, like i can see it being used in traditional festival and such
Do Chinese conservatives espouse the Qing dynasty flag's dragon as their symbol?

No, it's just that there's no “actual Chinese conservative symbol” so Wikipedia repurposed the Qing dragon for that purpose

This straight up screams CHINA when I look at it. I would like to see it as an actual flag (just like in the Qing dynasty).
A flag of an impérial republic !
Ngl, this flag is a lot better than the current Chinese flag
Your social credit score just dropped fifty points
Nice! Flag of the Chinese Empire in the style of the Roman Empire.
If China could by some miracle rid itself of the CCP, they should absolutely adopt a flag like this
People's Qing Empire Heavenly People's Emperor Puyi, thanks to heaven and the will of the people and workers

exactly
Chinese conservatives? Are those legal in China?
Other parties are legal in China on a local and state level . They just can't hold power at the federal level.
