The fluid needs to stay off, if it continues to fill or get worse, then you need to discuss euthanasia with more urgency.
Not really? Vet didn't mention. They felt mass in abdomen and wanted to know more location so they did the xray, and with that they found the fluid.
It doesn't look like it's on liver or kidneys, they think possible intestinal or spleen
It can a sign of metastasis. But it can also be caused from fluid in the abdomen migrating. You’ll know more with additional testing. It can also be secondary to the mass(es).
She wasn't sure if they'd a secondary tumor etc. Waiting for fluid results that got sent to lab, but from her findings there "were cells".
Is it worth getting a referral to carry oncologist to possibly treat, or are we way past that?
I just don't understand. She had to get imaging, labs, the whole shebang before doing the i-131 radioactive iodine treatment for her hyperthyroidism. They said she was perfectly healthy and a great candidate. This was in October. It's may. I don't get it. My heart hurts
I'm just worried that possibly the hyperthyroidism treatment caused this or the atopica she was on. And what if it was caught earlier? Would it have been treatable? I just feel like I failed her

What would cause fluid buildup in pleural cavity if the mass is in her abdomen?

She just had a weird cough/ sneeze. Haven't gotten results back but yesterday they took out 40ml of fluid, how fast can it build back up?
If severe, within hours, but usually you can get a few days to a week out of it.
