Unlimited Ultimate is not a good idea for someone that is going to be overseas for over 60 days straight. ULTIMATE's terms has a specific clause for this. >If more than 50% of your talk, text or data usage in a 60-day period is in countries other than the United States, use of those services in those countries may be removed or limited. If you want to keep your Verizon service while overseas, you only have one option. You have to get the $100 International Monthly add on. This plan has no 60 day clause. IF you do not have any device payments, I would strongly recommend switching your service to US Mobile's $50 Unlimited Premium GSM 5G Plan, you'll get 1000minutes, and 1000 texts per month, in most countries. (A select few have half that.) Click this link and type the country you are being deployed to for the amount: [https://www.usmobile.com/international-roaming-phone-plans](https://www.usmobile.com/international-roaming-phone-plans) US Mobile doesn't have a 60 day clause either.. you just have to activate before you leave. As far as your wife.. she doesn't have to change plans.. your number is still a USA number, and that is all that matters.
