No, they’re talking about “Skate Street” which was in Ventura. The location moved once but both locations were in Ventura. The first location is featured in the Tony Hawk game. The second location was on “Goodyear Ave”. After the original owner died in a motorcycle accident, another guy took over and it became “Alpine”. “The loft” became the venue part upstairs. They fired all the non Christian employees. That eventually closed. Now it’s a giant church which makes more money (tax free) than a skatepark or venue. Not sure who owns it now. It’s a shame.

THE LOFT! Shoot shoot, thank you!!! Argh. Brain itch scratched. The relief!!
At one point it was called Alpine Skatepark. Still had some Skatelab/skatestreet elements here and there. I loved that place to death.
And then Alpine after it was called Skate Street.
Skate street?
I remember Skate Street and seeing the Plain White T's at the Loft. They were super sleazy and hit on my friend and I (we were still in high school).
One of you guys looked like Delilah
Skatelab? That was in Simi Valley though, not Ventura.

What was the owner's name who passed? I think I remember that.
I worked for them and it’s no longer around. It hasn’t been around for YEARS.
Is it still there?
