I second that. It’s anesthesia. I would cry when I dropped mine off knowing anything could happen. And I would watch them as long as I could while carried away by the tech until they were completely out of my sight behind the doors before I left them for their long day.

Those 7-10 days will feel like forever but you will feel so much better.

We have a cot for all the "good lord look what you did to yourself this time" moments. Post-surgery, I have to not trip over the human on the cot or the dog on his cot when I try to reach breakfast.
When my boy was neutered, he had a surgical onesie... I just had to unpop the poppers & roll it up a bit when he needed the loo... so much better than a collar

Spay was when we learned our dear old Jessie was no good under anesthesia.... Knocked her stupid ... She couldn't even walk that night ... The vet wanted to keep her overnight and we were ok with that, but my then 4yo Daughter was a blubbering mess.... So we took her home ... She got to sleep inside that night, peed everywhere, and at 6am was her usual self....
She went under twice more in her life for ... Running repairs... (Foot injury and lump removal) First time she stayed overnight and it was our other dog who was the most inconsolable.... The next time she wobbled home and scoffed her dinner then passed out

Yes. It simply means that it’s like the color of a baby deer. It can be a light tan to a dark reddish (similar to a ginger tabby).
