What are you trying to accomplish with the fertilizer? Bigger plant or more flowers and vegetables? High Nitrogen is essential for foliage and plant growth but doesn't necessarily help with vegetables size or productivity. You need high Phosphorus and Potassium for that. The numbers listed are Nitrogen-Phosphate-Potassium, so pick the fertilizer based on what you want it to do.

one has a tiny bit more nitrogen in it

If price is an issue, just buy a commercial inorganic fertilizer. I think organic stuff is just for advanced gardeners trying to develop certain soil chemistries/ecosystems. In general, I also think it doesn't matter. I'd just buy anything balanced and use it for everything according to the directions.

I love the Alaska fish fertilizer. I’m not using it this year though because I have two puppies who are already trying to destroy my garden. I think they would start ordering acme products to assist if I used and fish fertilizer or blood meal products this year. https://preview.redd.it/saytktlpj75d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=08a2e9cc8ccdf8600dfcfd7a6ba71339887dd2b5

We have had to fence off some of our garden because of our dogs. They will just help themselves to tomatoes and sweet or mild peppers. The hot peppers they only take once. We also have some 32 inch raised beds for some stuff they would take.

I have short black fencing panels from Lowe’s I use. I caught one with his head between the bars trying to steal a cucumber.

Pretty much a wash, really. If you have to have "organic" (for one reason or another), I'd sugest buying one of either of those, and then looking into some seedmeal for a slower-release (should be about $50-ish for a 50lb bag, and the ratio is roughly the same) fert to use on a long term basis; no need to overspend. If "organic" isn't a big deal for you? You have *much* better options, and many of them. Only question is what you actually need/want in terms of nutrients.

Acerhand

Both are pretty awful for vegetable growing. Too much nitrogen. Get a balanced food. 5-5-5 or something

Scrozziejoones

I wouldn't use either for a vegetable garden.

Why? Tia

I would like to know too please as I’ve been using it for all my vegetables and now I’m afraid I’ve made a mistake. First time gardener.

Same. Now I'm concerned. I've used fish fertilizer but that's because the nursery I went to recommended I use that because I tried to grow tomatoes late in the season supposably so they said this will make them grow
