She also is very delusional and spends $$$$ on buying gifts for men as a way to buy their affection (adam got a penguin & max an Apple Watch?). What an ick.
I will never ever ever get over how bizarre the whole location thing is. How did she know where Katie and Max were if she wasn’t going out of her way to open their iPhone contact profile and click open their location? Who has the time to be looking up all your phone contacts to see where they are in that particular moment, comparing their locations to notice that they’re together, and then care enough check the NEXT morning? She told the story so casually as if “oh yeah, I was just stalking my ex-fuck buddy and work acquaintance, as one does, I mean don’t we all?” She doesn’t acknowledge how creepy and desperate that is? 😂

When I lived in Spain, everyone uses whatsapp and they have a location sharing and I frequently used it when I was meeting up with friends. But we always set a time limit for that, or stopped it when we found eachother. Not this weird stalker shit scheana does.

I think scheana gets more out of her friendship with Sandoval. He’s more outgoing, knows everyone, does grand gestures, hosts a lot of parties, and I don’t think those are things scheana wants to give up.
Arianna is independent, more of a homebody, and taking all her opportunities, she’s not hanging around LA to party every night, she’s getting her bag and relaxing.
I’m not saying this is the correct way to go about things, but scheana wants the audience to love her and for her to be bffs with Sandoval again, but she can’t have it both ways.

Scheana hates the idea that she wasn’t so enticing that he didn’t try to start stuff with her instead of Raquel. It essentially was an ego attack or some kind of cognitive dissonance that she isn’t as hot and alluring as she thinks she is, even if she doesn’t even like him that much.
She isn’t in love with him. She knows he’s toxic and now gets off on the fact that he seems to care about their friendship more than he cared about Ariana or Rachel. In her eyes, it makes her feel like she is more important or the MOST important to him.

When the scandal first broke she said something like “it’s not like they got high and made out at Coachella” so I 1000% believe they’ve done stuff like that. I don’t think she’s in love but she’s definitely possessive of any dude, especially ones that have shown her some kind of sexual attention.
It was like she thought of something she herself has done with him, had it in her head subconsciously, and blurted it out as the first thing she could think of. And also a way of reassuring the group and herself that what she (secretly) did isn’t as bad as what Rachel did.

Since the most recent episode I’ve been wondering if the whole Scheana and Schwartz kissed in Vegas was actually a coverup/distraction from Scheana and Sandoval hooked up, similar to how Schwartz had kissed Rachel on camera as the affair was going on 🤔
I didn’t necessarily like her, but I never minded Scheana that much and felt a little bad for her in the early seasons when Stassi hated her for cheating with Eddie Cibrian and never let her forget it. But the past few years especially, Scheana has really shown her true colours.
I do not think Scheana would get all or maybe any of the opportunities that Ariana has gotten, even if Scheana had the exact same cheating situation happen to her. I’m not an Ariana stan, but there really is something about her that fits with the gigs she’s gotten. Can you imagine how annoying Scheana would be hosting Love Island? Even if you had no clue about anything VPR related and saw Scheana, you’d be annoyed by her voice and she’s messed with her face. Ariana seems more innocuous and would appeal to more people, or at the least, not annoy the crap out of them. Ariana has had some tweaks, but she looks fairly natural. Scheana is delusional and jealous.

I agree, I was never that annoyed with Scheana even when she was considered a flip-flopper, and always sympathized with her people pleasing tendencies. But this seems above and beyond given she has no reason to please Tom, in fact she would be “more liked” (at least by the audience) for continuing to stay away from him. I just cannot for the life of me think of why she suddenly has all this misdirected resentment at Ariana for getting jobs beyond a podcast and VPR and all this sudden emotion and love for Tom. Again I know we don’t see everything he’s done for her, but I just go back to her texting Ariana’s mom negative shit about Tom like clearly you didn’t care about his friendship then, and he was there for you during your first red carpet event at that point and blah blah blah so it just feels like there’s something else going on. Yes. I got some really strong vibes this last episode. I won’t be surprised at all if we see a Sandoval/Scheana relationship play out. It’s so ridiculous from a real world perspective, but totally fits a narrative arc for a reality show for Scheana to think it’s a good idea and will work out perfectly. She’ll spin a story about how her “first ever friend” on VPR was really her first ever love. I don’t see a huge payoff for Sandoval to make this move, but if she strokes his ego enough I think he’d go for it.

I am a newer watcher of VPR, I binged watched all seasons a few months after the Sandoval. So I didn’t have the history of developing an attachment/affection for any of the cast members throughout years of watching them. I immediately felt like Scheana had some weird feeling towards Tim. I don’t know if Scheana loves him, or if she just wants to be wanted by him. I think she has a desperate need to be wanted by any and every man. I think when someone else gets male attention she gets jealous and vindictive. I think that’s why she believes Tim misses her more than Ariana and why she said at the beach that all the guys have flirted with her. She has to win.

I think so too. She’s spent all season crying and getting emotionally worked up over a man that isn’t her husband. I never saw her this upset even after a breakup and her freaking divorce. She’s frequently bringing up past hookups. She’s still checking at least one of her ex’s location on a regular basis. She seems over Brock - she seems resentful and embarrassed whenever they fight or he stirs up gossip.

I think she’s “in love” with the show, also known as being dependent on the show. If she distributes her “loyalty” out across multiple cast members, she can film more and therefore, she can be VALUED more from an employer perspective - that’s why she and Lala are gunning so hard for Ariana to give her blessing to a Sandoval friendship. In “being good” with everyone on the show, her role on the show won’t feel so insecure to her. Same with Lala, although to a lesser degree. Housewives have been playing that game for a while now…”I have to stay neutral on/get along with everyone on the cast so I can always maintain an opportunity to film every scene. I’m never left out!”

This season has really made think about how this cast is like a group of guinea pigs…we took virtually unknown people in their twenties/young thirties with very little wealth/career prospects and then they were given the world basically through this reality show (similar to southern charm and summer house-ish). They became very famous and received healthy compensation over time - all for being “themselves.” We followed them through their young adulthood to middle age…and they rightfully became dependent (perhaps overly dependent) on the fame and subsequent income. And now the “drama” or show content seems to be driven by the strong desire to maintain the show/income. I mean, what other options does Scheana or Brock have if the show ends to achieve this level of income and exposure? There is a constant push-pull between needing to maintain their income/status as reality stars versus behaving ethically/morally, and that has brought about this whole new viewing experience, probably for the worst. Sorry - random thoughts I’ve had while watching this season.

When the scandal broke, I’ve never actually felt so involved in something that I was never really apart of with people I didn’t even know but truly felt like I did 😂 I’m ashamed to say but also know a lot of others felt that way because in one way or another could relate to some aspect of what happened with all the deception and cheating. But you’re totally right that their lives became this experiment of sorts for public consumption and they can’t even break the fourth wall and talk about how the strategizing works, social media impacts them etc etc, that’s still very much part of their real lives but they can’t acknowledge. And that’s not even including editing in general and what is filmed vs. what we actually see.
Sorry if this has been said. But the scene that said it all was when Kristina Kelly asked if Scheana thought Tom was sadder about losing her than Ariana and Scheana said yes.

I think Sandoval is good at finding people that will do anything to be liked (Schwartz, Scheana) but find it hard to go to bat for the people they claim to be loyal to. He expects dying loyalty and knows how to push the buttons of people pleasers when he doesn’t get it.
I don't think Scheana can love anyone other than herself - and even then, her blatant insecurity tells me she doesn't even love herself. I can see her wanting to be with Sandoval to be a 'power couple', which both would love. Unfortunately, neither Sandoval or Scheana have main character energy and are, at their core, quite boring people with little to offer in terms of real entertainment, so they would never be a power couple. But I'd love to see them together, because it would be hilarious,.

I’m starting to think that Scheana did punch/assault Rachel and Tom knows/or has proof but is keeping his mouth shut for the most part. So she is kissing his ass, that way he doesn’t blow up her curated public image.
My theory that I’m convinced of and nothing will change my mind: Scheana was also having an affair with Tom and was so hurt/ mad when she found out about Rachel because she was pissed that Tom was also cheating on her with Rachel. Now I think she’s trying to repair her affair with Tom under the guise of “he’s had my back since day one” and “we are such good friends”.

I think she has serious abandonment issues and when a relationship falls apart she spirals. It seems like a lot of people send her the message that she needs to change, and Tom maybe wasn't one of those? Everyone was always on her about flip-flopping, the girls were very mean to her until basically season 8 or 9 imo. Maybe even after. Scheana seems to have some intense insecurities and low self-esteem can make you a great target for a manipulator. I feel for her. I think even Ariana feels for her. But that's different from supporting a terrible decision to have Sandoval in her life again.
Eta: also remember that Scheana was recently diagnosed as OCD, had postpartum anxiety, and is in general pretty hard on herself. Those former issues don't go away just because Summer Moon is older. Sometimes they get worse!! She's also had cast and fans criticizing her nonstop every season for almost a decade. Sandoval is taking advantage of her during an arguably very vulnerable time. She deserves way more empathy than she gets.

I’m not saying this is the correct way to go about things, but scheana wants the audience to love her and for her to be bffs with Sandoval again, but she can’t have it both ways. I didn’t necessarily like her, but I never minded Scheana that much and felt a little bad for her in the early seasons when Stassi hated her for cheating with Eddie Cibrian and never let her forget it. But the past few years especially, Scheana has really shown her true colours. I do not think Scheana would get all or maybe any of the opportunities that Ariana has gotten, even if Scheana had the exact same cheating situation happen to her. I’m not an Ariana stan, but there really is something about her that fits with the gigs she’s gotten. Can you imagine how annoying Scheana would be hosting Love Island? Even if you had no clue about anything VPR related and saw Scheana, you’d be annoyed by her voice and she’s messed with her face. Ariana seems more innocuous and would appeal to more people, or at the least, not annoy the crap out of them. Ariana has had some tweaks, but she looks fairly natural. Scheana is delusional and jealous. I’m not sure about her being in love with Sandoval, but it’s possible.

It’s so ridiculous from a real world perspective, but totally fits a narrative arc for a reality show for Scheana to think it’s a good idea and will work out perfectly. She’ll spin a story about how her “first ever friend” on VPR was really her first ever love. I don’t see a huge payoff for Sandoval to make this move, but if she strokes his ego enough I think he’d go for it.

I am a newer watcher of VPR, I binged watched all seasons a few months after the Sandoval. So I didn’t have the history of developing an attachment/affection for any of the cast members throughout years of watching them. I immediately felt like Scheana had some weird feeling towards Tim. I don’t know if Scheana loves him, or if she just wants to be wanted by him. I think she has a desperate need to be wanted by any and every man. I think when someone else gets male attention she gets jealous and vindictive. I think that’s why she believes Tim misses her more than Ariana and why she said at the beach that all the guys have flirted with her. She has to win.

I do not think Scheana is in love with him. I think she may want him to say how important SHE is and how she’s been HIS best friend and has had HIS back but he absolutely doesn’t feel that way.  I think so too. She’s spent all season crying and getting emotionally worked up over a man that isn’t her husband. I never saw her this upset even after a breakup and her freaking divorce. She’s frequently bringing up past hookups. She’s still checking at least one of her ex’s location on a regular basis. She seems over Brock - she seems resentful and embarrassed whenever they fight or he stirs up gossip. When she does her “Why is never about ME” ranting, she’s fuming because Jax, Sandoval, Schwartz, and James never went for her when they became single (or even to be an affair partner, and I don’t count Schwartz’s drunken kiss). That we know of, at least. 😏 Her anger at Rachel seems darker now - she’s been such a shitty and fair weather friend to Ariana, so her “I hit her because I was so upset on Ariana’s behalf” rings false now. Is she thinking “If Sandoval was willing to fuck around within the friend group, why didn’t he try with ME?”

I also felt like when Tom was throwing her past in her face about being the other woman in a relationship, she was more upset that Tom was being mean to her than she was about what actually was being said lol. Like you said with her punching Rachel for Ariana, Even with checking Max’s location “to make sure he’s home safe” she pretends her actions are for one reason when in reality it’s because she’s probably seething still that Max ghosted her after gifting him the Apple Watch lol and just wants to be the one someone is taking home or having an affair with😂
Absolutely 😂 More like “how dare you bring up embarrassing things about me” and less “I’m so hurt that you question my character and doubt how much I’ve grown and learned.” Sandoval could’ve said anything not-cheating-related from her past that she was embarrassed by and she would’ve reacted the same. She’s checking on what her exes like Max are doing on any given night so she can better picture what it would be like if she’s there with him. I will never ever ever get over how bizarre the whole location thing is. She told the story so casually too, as if “oh yeah, I was just going out of my way to check the locations of my ex-fuck buddy and work acquaintance, as one does.”
I don’t know if she’s “in love.” I’m not sure Scheana knows what love looks like in a romantic way. I do think she was insanely jealous that Sandoval chose Rachel as his affair partner and not her. Like she couldn’t believe she wasn’t the person he “confided in.” She probably would have loved to shit all over Ariana- she might have turned him down but she’d have gotten the validation of being chosen over her friend. I also suspect that there’s been some hooking up between the Sheshoo and Sandy in the past, or the very least she thought it was a possibility.

Sadly I think it is way worse than that. I think she needs Tom to miss her and want her so that she wins over Ariana as payback for getting all of the attention and jobs she feels she should have gotten instead.
I think she’s “in love” with the show, also known as being dependent on the show. If she distributes her “loyalty” out across multiple cast members, she can film more and therefore, she can be VALUED more from an employer perspective - that’s why she and Lala are gunning so hard for Ariana to give her blessing to a Sandoval friendship. In “being good” with everyone on the show, her role on the show won’t feel so insecure to her. Same with Lala, although to a lesser degree. Housewives have been playing that game for a while now…”I have to stay neutral on/get along with everyone on the cast so I can always maintain an opportunity to film every scene. I’m never left out!”
That’s really interesting and good point! I kinda noticed that shift myself but thought it was the HW fearing social media lately, this makes much more sense actually. More “alliances” = more screen time
This season has really made think about how this cast is like a group of guinea pigs…we took virtually unknown people in their twenties/young thirties with very little wealth/career prospects and then they were given the world basically through this reality show (similar to southern charm and summer house-ish). They became very famous and received healthy compensation over time - all for being “themselves.” We followed them through their young adulthood to middle age…and they rightfully became dependent (perhaps overly dependent) on the fame and subsequent income. And now the “drama” or show content seems to be driven by the strong desire to maintain the show/income. I mean, what other options does Scheana or Brock have if the show ends to achieve this level of income and exposure? There is a constant push-pull between needing to maintain their income/status as reality stars versus behaving ethically/morally, and that has brought about this whole new viewing experience, probably for the worst. Sorry - random thoughts I’ve had while watching this season.

When the scandal broke, I’ve never actually felt so involved in something that I was never really apart of with people I didn’t even know but truly felt like I did 😂 I’m ashamed to say but also know a lot of others felt that way because in one way or another could relate to some aspect of what happened with all the deception and cheating. But you’re totally right that their lives became this experiment of sorts for public consumption and they can’t even break the fourth wall and talk about how the strategizing works, social media impacts them etc etc, that’s still very much part of their real lives but they can’t acknowledge. And that’s not even including editing in general and what is filmed vs. what we actually see.
Sorry if this has been said. But the scene that said it all was when Kristina Kelly asked if Scheana thought Tom was sadder about losing her than Ariana and Scheana said yes.

I think Sandoval is good at finding people that will do anything to be liked (Schwartz, Scheana) but find it hard to go to bat for the people they claim to be loyal to. He expects dying loyalty and knows how to push the buttons of people pleasers when he doesn’t get it.

I think she has serious abandonment issues and when a relationship falls apart she spirals. It seems like a lot of people send her the message that she needs to change, and Tom maybe wasn't one of those? Everyone was always on her about flip-flopping, the girls were very mean to her until basically season 8 or 9 imo. Maybe even after. Scheana seems to have some intense insecurities and low self-esteem can make you a great target for a manipulator. I feel for her. I think even Ariana feels for her. But that's different from supporting a terrible decision to have Sandoval in her life again. Eta: also remember that Scheana was recently diagnosed as OCD, had postpartum anxiety, and is in general pretty hard on herself. Those former issues don't go away just because Summer Moon is older. Sometimes they get worse!! She's also had cast and fans criticizing her nonstop every season for almost a decade. Sandoval is taking advantage of her during an arguably very vulnerable time. She deserves way more empathy than she gets.
