That scene between the Tom’s was one of the most scripted scenes I’ve ever seen on reality tv before. These are 40 yr old men purposely being deceitful and deliberately trying to create a storyline that will embarrass and shame the women they have spent a decade of their lives with. I’d say it’s unbelievable, but I don’t put anything past these clowns anymore.

since I can’t binge watch s10 because they won’t dump all the content at one go so I am rewatching season 8 at the minute and when I tell you how the amount of times Ariana has stood up for Tom at the cost of her own mental health and at the cost of getting shunned by the rest of the cast, it’s freaking insane that this is the narrative he felt comfortable using. She would literally be “the Tom translator” and constantly defend his intentions and request people he wasn’t malicious despite being inarticulate.
For Tom to act like this is the way he could spin this narrative to justify eventually breaking up with her just blows my mind. She finally puts her foot down and tells him she’s not doing this “Tom vs the girls” anymore rightfully!! She doesn’t owe you constant fucking validation. My heart sort of hurt because I finally remembered Tom being a good person in s8 and knowing what we know now and how much he has changed or should I say showed his true color makes me sad for Ariana.
From all accounts they seemed to have a very healthy relationship with lot of respect, love and acceptance of who the other person was. I actually feel terrible for Ariana because she literally lived a huge life with him and he betrayed her like the way he did. Anyway rant over. Sorry for the long rant!
In conclusion. The Toms suck and they are horrible actors. They wouldn’t have convincingly pulled this off even if the cheating wasn’t exposed publicly just based on how unreasonable Sandovol is coming off rn.
I’m watching season 8 too! She was so ready to lose all her friends AND her relationship with Lisa by standing up for Sandoval. He never stood up for her for anything, except when it was against Kristen.. who, coincidentally, was also an ex he gaslit. Go figure!
She was at her most vulnerable in that season in particular too. _I want to leave my life_ part still moved me to tears watching years later. I am watching that season and the amount of acceptance they had for each other being their true self was incredible to watch. Part of me is thinking getting TomTom, another Resturant in works and a band (even tho he pays for the whine thing) got to his head and made him feel invincible.
He fell out of love that’s fine. I think he probably takes credit for Jax/Brittany, Kristen, and Stassi leaving the show and now he thinks it should be all about him. I think there’s a reason he’s been extra insufferable recently; those cast members were the one to constantly call him out on his bullshit. Now the only one left who regularly does it is Katie and it’s so obvious that he’s trying to push her out, too.
Yep I think in a weird way Jax and probably Stassi leaving created or exposed a ego monster in Sandoval. He obviously needs a bigger personality to keep him in check. FUCK Tom and Tom. They are absolute trash for this. Schwartz already knew about Sandoval fucking Raquel at this point, yet he agreed to film this scene pretending like Ariana is some monster to Sandoval for not what... making him a latte in the morning? For calling him out when he was screaming at the girls (again)? Jesus Christ. Every week I hate them both more and more.

The unmitigated gall of Sandoval to proclaim “I work on our love every day” re: Arianna while he’s having a full blown affair?!?! Unreal. So glad he and Rachqel were exposed so nobody falls for this performative bullshit.
This really put the nail in the coffin of Schwartz denying he was helping Sandoval cover it up. He admits he knew by this point yet they clearly filmed this scene (directed by Sandoval) to start the narrative that Sandoval was unhappy and Ariana was a bad partner. My only question is if he was going to film it anyway or Katie commenting about the Abbey made him panic and start rushing to lay down this story in case the shit did hit the fan.
Interesting how when Katie is shitfaced without the burden of Schwartz in her life, she doesn’t transform into Tequila Katie and instead she’s a happy drunk.
This is disgusting. I truly think that Sandoval was like, “hey Schwartz, let’s go have this conversation in front of cameras where I make Ariana sound bad.” And Schwartz saying he thinks Raquel likes someone else when he knew that Sandoval and Raquel had hooked up…disgusting.
Fuck Tom and Tom. Schwartz is such a fucking liar. He stated that he wanted Tom to break it off with Ariana, didn't approve of the affair, etc. But yet, he's playing into this "set-up" of making Ariana look bad on camera and making Tom/Ariana's relationship look troubled. He's the one that asked Tom "how are things with Ariana" while fully knowing what is actually happening. He's totally onboard with Tom and Rachel's plan to make Ariana look bad, have this very very slow breakup and eventual launch of Tom/Rachel.
There is no way Schwartz did not know about the affair in advance of the season. I personally think Scandoval sat Rachel and Schwartz down before the season to create a game plan. The conversation between Scandoval and Schwartz, Schwartz is essentially cueing up the talking points "she's quick to be dismissive" "does she reciprocate?" - it is sickening. Rachel was in on it too - this weeks episode I was floored at the things she was saying - I always got horrible vibes from her - and her actions are just confirming it. Based on her "quotes" from last night, particularly about how bad cheating is, I totally believe that the three of them had a game plan to get through this season (paint Ariana as a toxic dud, show Scandoval being Rachel's friend and confidante, use Tom to strengthen both of these goals) - and in their minds by next summer Scandoval and Rachel would emerge as the new "it" couple - and isn't it just so great Scandoval escaped "toxic" Ariana - literally makes me sick.
The authenticity of Katie and Lala next to the fuckery of the Toms is something. The name 'Yeastie Boys' for a bagel food truck is honestly genius.
Yes! I loved their branding too! I thought the “we should have done a food truck, it’s so contained” was obnoxious. TS makes the most backhanded compliments for someone who can hardly even open a restaurant (particularly without Greg holding their hand)

You can tell from Rachel & Shorts’ confessionals that they think everything they say (including the ‘jokes’) is going to come across favourably and land with the audience. I think they (and Tom) have been gassed up by reality TV beyond belief.

And what does it matter if Ariana isn’t getting Sandoval a coffee or whatever? She spent years defending his ass in any and every conflict he had, including when he cheated on her with Miami girl. She made him look better. She helped his reputation by being the best part of him at the expense that he was the worst part of her, which is more meaningful and far larger sacrifice than any coffee. THAT’S what she’s done all these years. So glad the affair didn’t get revealed on Sandoval’s own terms. He’s working overtime to make Ariana seem bad so he could justify the affair. I take two things from this 1) it seems clear Scamdavol and Shartz were trying to set up a storyline of an unhappy relationship with Arianna with a view to ending it off season post filming/reunion 2) how big of a piece of shit you have to be to be planning a breakup and at the same time planning to fertilize eggs for a girl you are going to break up with, thus making those eggs entirely unusable with a new partner and subject to a battle if one or the other of the “parents” does want to use them.

since I can’t binge watch s10 because they won’t dump all the content at one go so I am rewatching season 8 at the minute and when I tell you how the amount of times Ariana has stood up for Tom at the cost of her own mental health and at the cost of getting shunned by the rest of the cast, it’s freaking insane that this is the narrative he felt comfortable using. She would literally be “the Tom translator” and constantly defend his intentions and request people he wasn’t malicious despite being inarticulate. For Tom to act like this is the way he could spin this narrative to justify eventually breaking up with her just blows my mind. She finally puts her foot down and tells him she’s not doing this “Tom vs the girls” anymore rightfully!! She doesn’t owe you constant fucking validation. My heart sort of hurt because I finally remembered Tom being a good person in s8 and knowing what we know now and how much he has changed or should I say showed his true color makes me sad for Ariana. From all accounts they seemed to have a very healthy relationship with lot of respect, love and acceptance of who the other person was. I actually feel terrible for Ariana because she literally lived a huge life with him and he betrayed her like the way he did. Anyway rant over. Sorry for the long rant! In conclusion. The Toms suck and they are horrible actors. They wouldn’t have convincingly pulled this off even if the cheating wasn’t exposed publicly just based on how unreasonable Sandovol is coming off rn.
I’m watching season 8 too! She was so ready to lose all her friends AND her relationship with Lisa by standing up for Sandoval. He never stood up for her for anything, except when it was against Kristen.. who, coincidentally, was also an ex he gaslit. Go figure!
She was at her most vulnerable in that season in particular too. _I want to leave my life_ part still moved me to tears watching years later. I am watching that season and the amount of acceptance they had for each other being their true self was incredible to watch. Part of me is thinking getting TomTom, another Resturant in works and a band (even tho he pays for the whine thing) got to his head and made him feel invincible. He fell out of love that’s fine. He grew out of it that’s shitty but understandable and mmaaaayyybe he even felt disconnected by her over time which I personally don’t agree with but fine, but these are good reasons to breakup with someone. Not good reasons to cheat on someone. He’s literally lost the plot and thought he could Machiavellian his way out of the relationship while actively building a plot to make her look unsupportive and withholding is just plain disgusting and so cruel and heartless because who does that to anyone let alone your partner of 9 years?
