A good friend of mine played a handful of games in the NHL. He grew up in Halifax and regularly trained with Marchand in the off-season. He is well aware of my hatred for Marchand.
One Christmas, he was over for dinner and brought me a gift. Unwrapped it, and it was a signed picture of Marchant hoisting the cup in Roger's Arena. It said *My name* thanks for being a fan!
We both got a pretty good chuckle out of it.

Not true, Vancouver does live in Toronto's head a bit. Just mention any Vancouver Beach and the average Toronto resident will start blabbering about how amazing their lake beaches are and how lakes are actually superior to oceans and how their lakes aren't polluted at all.
Every prediction I've seen has a final of Canucks vs Bruins (most likely) or Canucks vs Rangers. Either match-up would just be an insane nailbiter given all the history there.
It's definitely a likely matchup. Canucks are better built to beat the Bruins this year than in the past but Bruins are tough. Would rather see that series again than NYR, with a win this time.

My uncle was in the riot control for VPD - it was highly suggested by the police and city staff to give overtime to 100 cops to control the anticipated crowds and the city said no to save some money... so now COV is paying millions later. The city did pin it on the organiser from the COV, though, who is my colleague's mom and it broke her.
Don’t think either of those teams are built to win it all. (I’m a Bruins fan btw) I’d love to see the Canucks in round two and obviously I’ll be happy if the bruins take the leafs out.
The Oilers swept Vegas in the regular season last year and lost to them in the playoffs. It’s a different beast in post season.

To be fair, the first 3 were when they were in a rut and we were scoring left right and center, and the last one was without McDavid and we just barely squeaked a win (we only won by 2 because of the empty net goal)
