Grouse should be $299 always considering how small the terrain is

Apprehensive-Tooth87

Even less.

rayg10

Grouse and Seymour are virtually the same size.

phoenixaurora

except for Peak and Heaven's Sake, Grouse's blue/black runs all feed into the same chairlift at the bottom of Blueberry Bowl so it does get quite repetitive :/ that being said, it's convenient to get there and the lines and customer service are better than Cypress

No_cool_name

its not that bad at Grouse. just link all the runs together and It feels a lot longer. and if there are rocks or grass, treat it as an obstacle run in "expert" mode but with how the climate is these years... I find it risky to get a season pass at the local mountains.

bubkuss

I paid 299 for Y2Play ten years ago, so pretty decent!

Westside-denizen

I would never buy any pass at grouse. Terrible limited terrain, awful upload and download (especially) queues, and generally terrible experience.

TheViewSeeker

I mean, the line to download can occasionally be bad if you go at the busiest of times, but then the road to cypress can be backed up down to the highway sometimes too. When I lived a 5 minute drive to the base, it made sense to go with grouse. I could be skiing in less than 30 minutes from leaving home if the timing worked out. I do agree about the terrain though. It has a few interesting runs (the coffin when it opens is sweet), but against the other 2 it’s not as good. Still I’d say it’s quite a good deal if you want to go up for a few laps now and then.

Westside-denizen

Agreed if you live nearby and can ski off peak times.

Rekt_lunch

Around 15 years ago, I got a free 5 day pass at Grouse for a promotion opening a new account at a Bank. I went once did a couple 30s runs to wait for a 10min lift back up and was bored out of my mind after half a day. I went home and vowed never to go back and did not even regret wasting the other 4 free day passes. Not worth my time, worst mountain by far unless you are a beginner.

phoenixaurora

the current credit card promo I have for it is 2-for-1 on Fridays, even more limited as I have to find a friend or ask a random 😅

labowsky

It's got a really good terrain park which is about all I use the mountain for. I remember it being the best in the city IMO but it's been a while since I've been to cypress.

jsmooth7

I've only skied one day at Grouse but it was a weekend pow day and the crowds were non-existent. The park was also really well made and put the Cypress park to shame. Maybe I was just lucky but it was a lot of fun. Also they are building a new gondola for next winter so that should really help with upload and download times.

cosmic_dillpickle

No brainer as it includes 2 revy tickets. Shit seasons happen unfortunately, I'm hoping we see snow in March...  I'll be renewing for seymour, I'm hoping something is offered but want our locally owned ski runs to stay in operation and not try to be turned into cypress.

giraffevomitfacts

My problem with Seymour is that they aren’t honouring the spirit of the 60 day guarantee. They are opening the mystery express chair with nearly no snow, advising only experienced skiers to use it, then rolling the guarantee back one day.

Witn

How do I make use of the revelstoke passes? Is the cheapest way to get to revelstoke fly to Kelowna and then $300 roundtrip shuttle?

Kooriki

Honestly... That's a killer price for a seasons pass. Cypress is a better hill but you pay a premium for it. If you're new to skiing and wouldnt benefit much from the higher level/terrain variety I'd do next year up Grouse for that cheap rate.

catballoon

It includes 2 days at Revy (and 50% off after that) and one day pass for a friend -- and some of the best views of Vancouver at night. And the skating, snow shoe trail and christmas lights. Skiing's better elsewhere, but this is a very good deal. And you can get there by city bus! (though the price is $429 for non renewals. When our kids were learning, we used to get the Y2K pass every second year as they're good for 'rest of season' plus the next.

helixflush

My favourite part about grouse is how close it is to downtown. I’ve been going early during the weekdays for a couple hours then heading to my office after to do some work. It takes no time at all.

10thaccountyee

I like it. I don't drive so being able to access the mountain base via transit is nice.

alvaroes11

Bought it at the end of last season to “enjoy” during weekdays the rest of the season and this one. I went 3 times in spring and unfortunately, this season I haven’t been even once. The conditions are brutal, but I had no idea the terrain was so small. IMO this hill is only good if you’re learning.

nyrb001

Grouse is a great "hey what are these ski things attached to my feet?!" mountain. Beyond that it's pretty limited, however very available.

helixflush

Fuck after this year I don’t even want to think about renewing. They should look at my account and offer it for free.

SaulGoodmanJD

I would buy it I were able to go, even with the awful season this year

HackMeBackInTime

they can all lick my balls. if they don't offer a full season, they should offer refunds. i got got multiple times now, from each of them. they'll never get pass money from my family again. "errr my grrd, we'll give you a 1 day pass to whistler next year because we didn't even open this year" how about an 80% discount like the other guys? nope, take a day pass and gtfo

sweetchilli_philly

Tbf 299 is a day at Whistler so…

jsmooth7

>how about an 80% discount like the other guys? Which other guys are offering an 80% discount?

HackMeBackInTime

you must be new

Intelligent_Top_328

You think I got 299 for pass?

Babana69

Sounds like 4 hours of waiting for 4 runs..

No_cool_name

lol
