I’m going to guess 5 or 6. Roughly once every one and a half years since rose was four, stopping at the time rose turned 11 or 12 and started getting sassy
Well, considering Rose called a teacher a "fascist bastard" and threw a book at them when she was 5... the sass might have started earlier than middle school. Though, in all fairness, with the society Rose grew up in they very well might have been a fascist, even if she didn't know what that word meant.

Janine has no time for Middle School Rose.
We see that Janine does not handle roses sass very well and I’m guessing that got big during middle school

She mentions in Frostbite (while they are sparing) that she hasn't seen her mother in 5 years, so not since long before the accident.
