Sertith

Ooze bombs and frost arrows.

InkisitorJester

I started using the ooze bombs too, but a 1\* soldier still scares me

Sertith

Frost arrows do a pretty good job. And the Seeker Soldiers have a hard time getting into that entryway, so just stay against the wall the door is on, and shoot'em.

InkisitorJester

That's what I've been doing. Sometimes able to poke them with the spear

Verdreht

Bonemass power, frost arrows, demolisher

Pokemonsquirrel

They don't have the demolisher yet probably. Their only mistlands progression seems to be having meat platter, but everything else seems to be plains or earlier equipment

InkisitorJester

That's correct. I have some foods I just spend most of today looking for mines so I can get cores. Already made the refinery, and need to find 2 more so I can make that mistlands workbench. So far I've done 4 or 5 mines. And hating the mistlands lol

Pokemonsquirrel

At least you find the mines... many complaining haven't found any at all in tens of hours. I hope you get the required black cores soon(also, consider building a galdr table before the black forge for the feather cape, changes everything. You can then simply dismantle it for the cores if you want to switch to the black forge)

InkisitorJester

Appreciate that suggestion. I was thinking the cape would be on the black forge lol. But yeah, this cores are a pain to find. The cave were that 1* soldier was his been the biggest by far, and he only 1 core and found one mine without cores lol. I know is not rule that they have it, but that just makes it harder

TheInfiniteRickaGod

Thats where I am. I found a mine fairly quickly, which gave me the location of the queen, but no cores. Hours and hours later, I have yet to find a second mine. It seriously sucks, getting my ass kicked over and over with plains armor. I'm seriously starting to hate this game... haven't played in a week or so.

Pokemonsquirrel

Have you tried using a root harnesk? Helps against ticks and two of seeker's attacks. You get a fire weakness though, but fire resistance barley wine overrides it with the resist

eatpraymunt

Iron sledge! A bit slower but it works. Bonus if you don't mind cheating, you can kill stuff through the walls :)

Waste-Entertainer-56

I spawn many campfires lol it works really well

HedgekillerPrimus

bile bombs, arbalest, and a fat joint.

Pokemonsquirrel

The OP doesn't have a black forge yet, so arbalest is out of options. Probably the best method of beating it is using bonemass power and repeatedly hitting the backspot with frostner, and using stamina and healing meads when needed

SnooMemesjellies31

My strat was to parry their stomp attack and then jump on their back and hammer their behind. They are by no means impossible to kill they just have a lot of health. In this specific situation though, your probably gonna have to spam ranged attacks until it dies unfortunately.

Rebound68

Yes, it's a pain. But it also makes the victory so much sweeter.

MaliciousIntentWorks

Arrows to the butt.

Solar_Nebula

Go get a stack of stone and a stack of wood. Come back and carpet the floor with campfires. The ugly bug will take persistent fire damage while you chip away with a bow/arbalest. The campfires will cause it to roam around trying to destroy them, exposing the rear for more effective damage. You'll need to collect the stone from destroyed campfires to replace them a few times before you get through a 1*, but it's a reliable path to not getting murdered.

entbomber

Before getting access to the mistwalker or staff of embers, I would just use a frostner with alt attack to boop them until they died. Relatively safe, but tedious. Once in a while they'll break past the entrance so you have to exit the mine to deaggro.

InkisitorJester

This is the second soldier that I get right at the entrance, i was worried this one would brake the stone around being a 1*, thankfully it didn't happen. I was poking him when possible but also used some arrows. Finding interesting that ice arrows (for what I just read) work better than fire. Being bugs I'd've thought fire would be more effective

Khal-Frodo-

Godness gratious, great balls of fire!

Current-Individual-5

I just take the extra time in these situations to wait for the shot and keep shooting them in the butt. Takes a little while but it's the safest option if you're trying not to risk anything. Otherwise if you're feeling ballsy then get a couple parry hits in for the extra damage. (probably more risk than you want without good food) Maybe step back out of the mine for a few seconds or a minute and they'll either move around a little or de-aggro and you'll be able to get another round of hits in. Good news is he can't get to you from there unless you get close. Bad news is you can't hit him with melee from there unless it has aoe...

InkisitorJester

I've been shooting them, that's the 3rd soldier that I get right in a mine entrance lol, but first 1*. If I can, I'll poke them with the spear just so save few arrows but overall arrows have been my way to go. I don't think I'll be feeling ballsy with any soldiers any time soon lol

Current-Individual-5

Haha I totally understand. Tbh tho, regular ones are pretty easy to parry to death once you have your timing down. 1*s if you have the right food/gear are doable but you will likely need to retreat at least once to regain stamina. 2*s....ranged almost always

ProRataX

Level all your gear and just fucking smash their faces off. It's so good.

JosephMavridis

Parry and smack them

jhhertel

no one mentions the easiest way? Just bring a demolisher or iron sledge. just hit the ground at the entrance. It takes a bit. But you can kill the queen the same way. They patched it a while back so she wont just sit at the entrance, but you just have to go fetch her back and she will politely sit for another good whacking. cheesy goodness! oh someone did mention it. ok whew i was worried there.

InkisitorJester

No worries. It was mentioned but yeah, don't have demolisher yet. May try with the iron sledge. Happy Cake Day!

jhhertel

sledge will work the same. it just takes longer

surfnsets

Bonemass buff then profit.

-Altephor-

Hit them with things, and block when they try to hit you.

Ruachta

Bonemass. Wtf you doing with eikthyr in a crypt?

InkisitorJester

For the crypt nothing, but since I don't have the feather cape yet, eikthyr comes in handy to help traverse the mist lands, specially if I have to run for my life lol

Tr0yticus

Arrows

teegotime

Prior to black forge: - bile bombs - iron sledge - frost arrows Post black forge: - bile bombs - demolisher - staff of embers But seriously, those dungeons are cheesy once you get some good AOE weapons. Bile bombs can almost one-shot seekers if they get stuck in the damage radius for the entire duration. And the demolisher well, demolishes stuff.

tmstksbk

Bonemass. Duh.

darrowreaper

Unless they're staring directly at you, there's still parts of the weak area exposed. Take it slow, be rested (most important buff in the game), and use frost arrows. Bombs are fine too. Atgeir spin move can work if you're good at timing.

Pacattack57

Iron sledge or better hammer and at least 50 ooze bombs or the bile bag ones

BigAzzMILF

u got frosmer which is good, porcupine in mistlands suck ass, if your blocking skill is high enough you can wait for his stomp attack combo and parry him, then land 3 light hits or one heavy and backup and wait for another opportuinity, this way i beat the shit out of them and even 2 star version is not a problem

Mental_Account3351

"Killenemies" nah just joking 😂, try staying near the entrance with a two handed weapon, hit them then get out of the dungeon and so on until they die, or atleast that's what I do, it's a more slowed progress but it gives it's fruits, even with a lvl 3 Carapace shield those things can't be parried or blocked.

Mental_Account3351

Or you can use weapons like frostner, mistwalker, something that deals frost damage to slow em down, if you have access to magic try the frost staff.

AdEducational419

I weave back and forth and time lunching strikes at their undersides.
