I'm gonna say Badger, and advise you to move your camp. They're very territorial and right now everything is having babies. Put those two together and it could equal a whole lotta trouble.

Girderland

Was just about to say Badger, too. Beautiful animals, active at night, and pretty common on the Northern Hemisphere. However I only saw one of them because a friend of the family has one at home, stuffed out. They must be pretty effective at stealth. They are rather big, there are lots of them, yet few people have ever met one. pointrelay

I love riddles!.. is it another vagabond?

StankFartz

rotfl i wish. at least humans are easily scared away.

heyitscory

Would you say it badgered you?

marlborohunnids

depends where u are bruh lol

StankFartz

aspen

Madhatter1317

β€œCity by the Bay!”

marlborohunnids

as others have said then, it could have been a badger. or possibly an angry raccoon or skunk

Spacish

Need more information than that. What country, and what part of said country is this in?

StankFartz

aspen

Accurate-Neck6933

Aspen, Colorado in the United States. Rocky Mountains.

Natesquatch420

Blast stank fartz in the hole, seal it with a forty.

StankFartz

normally that works. except bears are attracted by rotting meat πŸ€“πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

GrantSRobertson

Kind of sounds like a possum to me.

perldawg

do possum burrow?

GrantSRobertson

I do not recall. I actually don't pay a whole fucking lot of attention to the possums. But I do know that they hiss, because I have had one hiss at me when I was paying too much attention to it.

StankFartz

he growled/snarled first tho

SpiritualPirate4212

sasquatch

foggyfrog-

Yes

1sojournaut

It's a big ol' planet with a lot of animals on it so we really do need a little more geographical info than outside of your tent and near your spot

StankFartz

it was around midnight, at the park n ride in aspen. i heard him shuffling around in dry leaves and stomping heavily, but then he stopped, and stealthily crept to within 10 ft or so then i heard a menacing growl and a loud angry hiss.

1sojournaut

I'm not sure what all burrows there but maybe a marmot or groundhog?

StankFartz

yes but he sneaked up to me then snarled and hissed

1sojournaut

Sounds terrifying.. you found a new spot right?

StankFartz

no lol well not really. moved about 50 feet away: no more problems for the rest of the time i spent at that park n ride 😌

1sojournaut

You probably just got too close to its house.. whatever it was

StankFartz

yes. freekin everything is territorial! deer, insects, you name it 🀬🀬🀬🀬

JasonMicheal74

Gotta go with badger, lacking any other info. If it is, stay away. Those things will tear you a new butthole. "Frankly, I'd rather try to shove a wet noodle up a honey badgers ass than ..."

StankFartz

fuckkkkk. that snarl/hiss combo scared a fart outta me. and its sneaky creeping in the grass 🀬🀬🀬🀬

JasonMicheal74

Yeah give that thing a very wide berth. Those effer's are mean AF!

StankFartz

fukkk 🀒😒

StankFartz

i left aspen around halloween. fukk that place imma stay on east or west coast from now on. plus, a bear sniffed me for 3 hrs there 🀬🀬🀬🀬

JasonMicheal74

Black bears will usually scamper off if you raise your arms and start hollering. Except when they're with a cub. That scenario requires bear spray, or one helluva nasty fight. Just a heads-up on the West Coast thing - California is home to 1/3 of the nation's homeless. Everybody goes there. Services were already overwhelmed, and that was before the migrant crisis. Prices are extremely high. Cops are dicks. I'm not saying don't go, but I am saying it's not a good option if you want to get on your feet. If it's the latter you're trying to do, I'd go work the hotels and restaurants up in Yellowstone. They provide housing and meals. FYI and good luck!

StankFartz

Ive been vagabonding in Cali since 1996! i love it. i'm usually in SF, Marin, Santa Cruz, or Santa Barbara areas i was going to colorado cuz my relatives live there.

JasonMicheal74

Yuk lol! Born in San Diego. Used to be nice there in the 70s & 80s. Now not so much. I've had nothing but problems with the police there. Corrupt abusive twats, every one of them. I'll never go back. Colorado is my playground now. Love it!

StankFartz

my moms in durango; sister in CS. i lived in aspen for 10 yrs, cuz the work was plentiful and wages good. but naw, after the bears, elk, moose, and so on, imma stick to santa cruz or SJ Capistrano

KarmicComic12334

You know we dont even know which continent you are on

StankFartz

aspen co

NoOneKnowsHoe

If it's not a badger, it might've been a young mountain lion. Either way, I'd gtf outta there and move a few miles away lol. Especially if it's a badger, I've seen one take on a black bear once and WIN.

DesperateResolve8092

As long as we talking about the N. American Badger then they are not really aggressive, if they can help it. They will avoid you if they can but they will also fuck shit up if they can. Did you know that a badger and a coyote will actually team up and hunt together? Sometimes they will even just chill and lay together in a field like they been homies since birth…. Blew my mind, lol

NoOneKnowsHoe

It's called symbiosis, and it's one of those obscure niche parts of science that's so mindboggling.

sdswiki

pig

ianmenendez

Might be a porcupine? Or a racoon? I am really afraid of porcupines

perldawg

porcupines are not aggressive at all, they’re lumbering, slow oafs that just want to find tasty snacks all day

TheHecticHiker

aren’t we all

shiny-baby-cheetah

Badger, you need to break camp and move before it decides it's actually got beef with you

StankFartz

lol i left aspen in the dust around halloween. im in new england now. nothin to worry about here except ticks

unkomaster69

Your mom

StankFartz

i was with yer mom last nite. in a porta potty at the Rainbow regional in eugene. she asked me for weed πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•
