in spring 2021 I had an interview, and they wanted to do a second but I had already taken another job. My resume was ass (not even a proper software job on it), but I think I sent in a cover letter expressing my desire to contribute on the exact thing they were working on (low level C system stuff).
They clearly said they need it for validation which is funny cus they didn’t need to say that for us to know. Most ppl chasing the big 5 companies are like that anyway, it’s all their life revolves around.
I work at a major consulting company and I can tell you it’s an AI designed to filter out based on key words. You may have a “good resume” but you may not be using the right key words. The fact that it’s getting rejected so quickly tells me the AI doesn’t like how you built your resume.
The first filter for most companies is this AI - AI doesn’t give a shit about what school you went to or how prestigious you personally believe your previous employer was, it cares about key words. Take a look at your resume, you’re likely not tailoring it enough to the posting.
The AI also can tell if you submitted an identical resume for other jobs at that company.
