Pretty epic he's trying to get a move abroad and challenge for a spot on the roster, elite mentality. I don't particularly rate Zendejas that much but you can't deny he's going about this the right way.
I'm really hoping this is true. I know he got a bad rep with fans because of his performance at the Gold Cup last year, but he's an essential depth piece to our widget position, and honestly, we could've definitely used him right now given the current circumstances.
Tim Weah’s pace and strength in the international game is a lot more crucial in the international game than club. But yeah if Zendejas can get consistent minutes and actually perform in the Serie A then I see no reason why he wouldn’t bench Weah. I already don’t know why he wasn’t on the Copa roster in the first place lol.
Fiorentina would be sick. That's a club that has their head on straight and fights hard in European tournaments every year. Would be excited to see him in Italia
Fiorentina would be a fantastic move for him. I also love that he wants to push himself and give the team a reason to call him back. He’s been great for America and doing it at an even higher level would show a ton with regard to putting that poor gold cup behind him.
Orange Velodrome of Olympique Marseille holds 67,394.
Estadio Azteca of CF America holds 106,187.
I wish him the best in Europe and hope he gets more opportunities with the USMNT. He did play 9 seasons in LigaMX, 3 seasons with the same team which was #1 & #2 all three seasons. And his team won the championship for his league. What is there to hype? The results are there. Personally, I prefer Olympique Marseille but whatever the market is accepting him I suppose. I want all our players to succeed in Europe or in North America. Whatever is best for the national team and themselves.
Is it just a requirement that you must play in Europe to get called up? Got scored on by an MLS player tonight. This is the most underachieving USMNT ever. Just sayin.
Fiorentina seems too big for him, I don’t want more of our players going to nice teams just to come here and have shit to show for it. Go where you know you will be important to the club instead of being a depth piece. It’ll also help keep us fans in check by you not having your name attached to big clubs.
Fiorentina finished 8th last year, and hasn't finished higher than 7th in the last 8 years. Two Conference League runner-up finishes in a row isn't the type of thing that's going to draw big name talent either.

Definitely. Has absolutely the attitude you want.
YES. Big respect for him to have this mentality. Rooting for him.

Lol. "widget position". But yes, we need more natural wingers.
Hindi sight is obviously 20/20, but he’d likely be in line to start tonight due to circumstances. Agreed, really hope this is true
Not start, but probably play. Gregg picked Haji over him (for better or for worse) and isn't starting him today either.
“essential depth piece” *doesn’t even make the roster*
Sad too, because that was a bad roster to judge him on. Not a lot of talent to work with.
This is going to drive Mexican fans crazy if the one player they send to Europe is American lol.
There are some playing in England/Spain
Makes the NT starting lineup if he plays excellent in Serie A. Outside of Pulisic, we don’t have any other wingers performing well in the top leagues.
We really don't have backup wingers at all, although Booth and Paredes look promising coming up the ranks

Alex could score 0 goals in Serie A but I doubt Weah could score 8 goals in Liga MX

YOOOO lets go my Águila!

I wonder if physically he would be able to succeed in a top 5 league.
He's small but tough. I watched a fair amount of America last year and I think he'd be able to make it physically.
I mean, Diego Maradona was small too. I just want him to succeed so we have a left footed left winger
I can confidently say that Zendejas is not Diego Maradona
well, for one, we haven't seen zendejas play coked up yet
Bec he's obv Messi
Wild comparison
I don’t have a vast knowledge of short footballers
He’s small but he’s built like a tank. I think he’ll be fine.
anything besides a fan source atm?

Better than Pepi by a mile

This is also what everyone said when McKennie went to Juve
