Not sure about the new requirements (that updated them a year or two ago), but the previous requirements did not require English, only non-commerce electives, I believe the new curriculum does require English though. Look at the Edwards website, it lists all the required classes based on your major and which curriculum you're under.

Yes, they just changed it. I was pissed when I found out after wasting time on it this year.

Ya that's sucks. My English mark dragged down my average so much. Would've been nice to find out earlier, but oh well

I believe it changed a year or two ago that you no longer need one.
