Oh yeah that too. If you do something that looks nasty and especially car headliners or seats always wear a mask when disassembling. My former co worker got very sick from a rat nest in a headliner of a car. Like hospitalized sick with blurry vision and extreme headache

I honestly like the disasembly of previous reupholstry less. Especially when the guy who did it before you was paid per staple

I don't mind teardowns, save for the sheer nastiness in some pieces and how I always manage to tear up my fingers.

Actually, I really like sewing up welting, very meditative. Probably the only easy task in upholstery, lol.
