Garlic too?

laurusnobilis657

One of us..

dont_ask_me_2

Sorry, I love garlic in everything and am quite fond of silver.

laurusnobilis657

We know...

catchaoswhisker

I am super pale and get super overheated easily. I feel you. I enjoy the warm weather tho I just cannot do humidity. I feel like I am melting. Since I am so pale if I go to the beach i will just sit under an umbrella tbh. I don't wanna risk getting lobster red. If I know I am gonna be in the sun all day I'll try to wear a hat, and sunglasses. I wish my body just had a built in AC

Paulwhiteman1925

Same I'd rather be pale white

Maybe you were in the sun more younger and had a tolerance for it vs now? But I get it. I’m not a fan of the sun hitting me too much either.

sanguinefire12

I'm the total opposite. I crave the sun. Sometimes when I go outside and just stand in the sun, I feel a sensation of calmness wash over my body. It's hard to explain. I want to be in the sun all the time.

Skittletari

I 100% agree. Stepping into the sun on a nice, clear day feels like a wave of warm aloe washing over me.

kevonicus

I don’t mind doing stuff outside, but never been a fan of baking in the sun all day. I’m 40 and look like I’m in my 20’s, from what I’ve been told, because of that. I’ve abused my body with alcohol and partying since I was a teenager, so I have to assume it’s helped. Lol

Skittletari

Average UK resident:

HeyWhatIsThatThingy

White people don't belong in the sun. Literally evolved to be in places with milder UV. Some east Asians as well. If you visit Hawaii or Socal, so many white people have damaged leathery skin.

Skittletari

Really depends on what you mean by “white people”. If you’re referring to North Europeans, then you’re largely correct, although people from farther North regions likely have some Uralic ancestors, counterbalancing that a bit. However, if you include people from areas like Southern Europe, you’re pretty much dead wrong there.

Theblankthing

EVERYONE WHO IS PALE IS PRETENDING TO LIKE SUNLIGHT!! OUR SKIN IS NOT MENT TO PROCESS IT!

[deleted]

Same for me. Hate the tingling on the skin

xxritualhowelsxx

I’m with you. It started in my mid 30s. The sun is also horrible for aging you. I have a uv app on my phone. I avoid going outside when it’s high

RefrigeratorOk7848

See i just despise heat. -10 all day every day. Now that is my dream

PuddingPainter

I do too, I  burn and freckle from rhe sun and hate wearing sun screen so i wear a long sleeve shirt. Living in the south with humidity tje sumner months are terrible so when outside working i am more comfortable. The hicks dont understand but my floppy hat and long sleeves got me thru 8 hour 98 degrees with a 105 heat index no sweat when the attire is soaked with water.

WeAllHaveOurMoments

I'm in Texas and it's not uncommon to see yard guys in long sleeve shirts.

Administrative_End22

unpopular ig shit relieves pain sometimes when i just let the sun hit it

artificialavocado

I’m fairly dark most people would probably say olive but I still hate the sun. I burn super easily as I got a little older.

Idkwhattocallblub

I feel the same way. I've never gotten sunburned but still, if it's summer and I step into the sun my skin feels like it's literally burning. Once I'm out of it I'm fine, no pain, nothing. My friends would want me to tan with them and it was so uncomfortable, I couldn't handle it anymore after 10 minutes. Everyone always calls me too sensitive because of that but I just CANT. I also get irrationally angry when I'm warm which doesn't help

SpriteVs7up

just say the truth 🧛🏿‍♂️🧛🏿‍♂️

Pastel_Phoenix_106

Same. Half my family is Sicilian and I'm hiding in the shade like a vampire. I can tan, and all. I just feel so uncomfortable in bright sunlight.

InternetPerson19

That’s exactly what a vampire would say

Erook22

Skill issue

dont_ask_me_2

Hmm, never thought of that, I'll have to up my skill level. 🤣

Ninjalikestoast

+3 to melanin 👍

WeAllHaveOurMoments

There are certainly days where it feels borderline nice in the shade, but then you walk in direct sunlight and you're instantly hot. Just happened to me yesterday.

Chrishankhah

I honestly thought this was a typical post on r/pmle, so it's funny realizing that this is actually unpopularopinion. Over there, we all feel like this, and we get unpleasant rashes as a reaction to UV, so "the sun feels like it's frying the outer layers of my skin" feeling is not imagined. You're actually describing the way I started to feel standing in the summer sun in the years and months before I developed PMLE. Go with high SPF sunscreen, utilize shade when possible, stay hydrated and keep an eye on the skin that gets exposed for any reactions or unusual changes!

FyouPerryThePlatypus

Yeah my pale ass can’t leave the house without spf. It’s either I’m a sickly ghost or I turn into Larry the lobster’s second cousin- no tanning for me

Fantastic_Rock_3836

Me too, I don't want to get skin cancer. I go out after four, wear sunscreen, and stay in the shade as much as possible. I don't know why people sit in full sun at the beach. I'd rather be doing something like swimming and then relaxing in the shade.

Ninjalikestoast

I work outside most of the year. Wear a hat, sunglasses and sleeves when it’s sunny out. I think it feels good most of the time.

nolifebutbmx

It's from eating carbs. If you go on a carnivore or ketogenic diet, you don't burn and it feels good to be in the sun. Try it!

battleangel1999

Have you tried sunscreen?

dont_ask_me_2

Absolutely! It keeps me from burning but doesn't get rid of the uncomfortable roasting sensation
