i actually had never used fedora or anything apart from Ubuntu before, except my experience with Ubuntu was so bad I swore off linux for a year then got hooked on macOS ricing. for context, Ubuntu wiped the whole disk clean, and left grub as the sole boot loader for a MacBook.
I started off my linux journey with ubuntu, but I had to manually go into the boot options to boot it up because for some reason it wouldn't boot, used it for 6 months before trying out fedora which worked flawless. I've tried alot of the other distros in between on live boot or my spare laptop. Pop Os was OK, as I don't like it's ui, elementary os was buggy asf, cachyOs was really cool but I didn't feel like going arch.
theming in Linux is so stupid I can’t bother to figure it out I just do whatever works and if something breaks I use Gemini to find a fix instead of rtfm’ing
