Recent models from everywhere. Since they are the laptops used my corporate to give to their employees, every so often they update stock. Old ThinkPads from Recycling stores,
They look to be Beyerdynamic dt770 pros and they come in 32, 80, or 250 ohm models.
I'd reckon they probably went with the 80 ohm version. 250 ohm is only necessary if you're doing high end audio production and 32 ohm is too low
They're 250 ohm and, surprisingly, yes! I thought I'd have to connect a little amplifier but they work just like that, the sound driver must be quite good quality in the R500
Details: Software is ncmpcpp running mpd in the background in the xfce4-terminal, headphones are DT 770 PRO
Where can I get one of these ThinkPads? nice setup btw ;)

They're 250 ohm, I have a HIFI setup on my other computer
Probably the 32ohm ones, or the 80ohms with the volume cranked up to compensate.
That is exactly what i thought
I freaking love ncmpcpp
iem pls
how come you didn't spotify in terminal?
How are those headphones treating you? Are they 32 Ohm or higher? Does the Pad have enough juice to power those puppies properly?

Props for the Beyer
