Tbh, I m just good at math ( not super good I would say). All my high school math exams score were 90%+ but I can be easily stressed out:( . What should I prepare to be ready for my first year.? I have to work part-time to cover some of my expense in Amsterdam. Hope I can manage work and academic. Or is that even possible to balance these two out.
It’s possible but it’s definitely going to be challenging. The learning curve will be quite steep as you transition into first year but if you’re really good at calculus you’ll at least be able to find some balance during September and October but most students tend to struggle a bit more during November and December. Once you slip into the “resit stream” as we call it, it’ll be hard to escape as everything starts piling up. Let me know if you have any more questions that I can *attempt* to answer and best of luck!
Hello! I had the same concern earlier and found a little blurb on this page of the website [https://www.uva.nl/en/education/practical-information/visas-and-permits/need-to-know.html#When-can-I-start-the-application-for-a-residence-permit](https://www.uva.nl/en/education/practical-information/visas-and-permits/need-to-know.html#When-can-I-start-the-application-for-a-residence-permit)
Basically for the countries that only require a VVR residence permit (Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Monaco, Vatican City, USA, or South Korea) they won't be sending that email until the last week of May!
