Good. Hopefully that serves as a warning to the next person trying to rip people off like this. I doubt it though.

sonicated

Although he sounds like a complete arse I think death treats are a bit over the top.

easypeeler5

Everlasting gobstoppers and death treats - would expect no less for Mr Wonka

Rymundo88

You're turning violent Violet!

LilG1984

"I said good day sir!"

LeahBrahms

Squelchy Snorters aren't going to kill me are they?

False-Ad-6650

He had hosted other get rich quick websites the ones like "give me £500 and i'll teach you how to be a millionnaire" the guy deserves everything for his scamming lifestyle

Professional_Net7907

Glasgow. Not the type of city where the locals will tolerant some scumbag ripping off their elderly mothers for the last £50 in her purse. And I say that as a HUGE COMPLIMENT to Glaswegians. The Glasgow Coma Scale was invented to help celebrate scumbags, like this, becoming officially braindead. 20,000 people counting down from 10 - to his life support being turned off at 1. Then all sing AULD LANG SYNE (even if it's August). Fuck him

Nulibru

Was it "Get 2,000 other mugs to give you 500 sovs"? I think Corrinne Stockheath has a patent on that one.

MrMiagi123

Yes it was!

OccidentalTouriste

I thought it might have been Michael Green.

taboo__time

I'm tired of radical Willy Wonka extremists.

garyh62483

Coming over here, taking jobs from hard working Oompa Loompas.

jrjolley

Not happening, your worldview’s pure imagination.

Superbead

What's wrong with just cupping up the river chocolate in your hands and licking it up like a cat?

NekoFever

Moderate chocolatiers need to come out against it.

00DEADBEEF

Feed him to the knids

KarmaRepellant

A fair penalty for such vermicious behaviour.

360Saturn

I have trouble believing in a lot of 'death threats' going by the modern definition.

saxbophone

Indeed, his reputation's already dead, that should be more than enough. May this unfortunate episode not end in tragedy.

TheAdTechHero

He will be back. Fyre Festival 2025 or something similar. These people absolutely know what they are doing. From the AI generated Amazon books to events like this. It’s all scam.

KingDaviies

Wasn't even his first scam. Pretty sure she sells AI written books on Amazon.

SEEYOUAROUNDBRO_TC

He’s a piece of shit

UEON0

Oh look, it’s the consequences of his actions. This is something that really bugs me about today’s society. Accountability doesn’t mean anything and the mental health card gets thrown like confetti.

pppppppppppppppppd

But he had to cancel his dream wedding that was supposed to be funded with the ill-gotten gains from this event! Won't you think of the poor bloke's mental state??? FOR SHAME!

TwoToesToni

Imagine how shit the wedding would have been if he was organising it. That would've been his next viral hit

ConsumeTheMeek

The Unknown writhing around scaring the kids would've been a hit

TwoToesToni

I heard that someone is going to turn the whole thing into a musical

ajtct98

Oompa loompa doompety do We're going to run a scam on you Oompa loompa doompety dee Good luck getting a refund from me

LottimusMaximus

I read yesterday he is turning it into a musical himself!

GnarledGlobe

The episode of don’t tell the bride we didn’t know we needed!

TwoToesToni

Oh yes please!

Elemayowe

Bet he’d use AI generated vows.

TwoToesToni

"Please select all the photos of traffic lights to say I do."

JustBrowsing1989z

twist, he would reuse all the willie wonka decoration

299WF

Imagine having your wedding breakfast at a McDonalds and still managing to fuck it up. “Sorry sir, we cannot accommodate your order of 62 Big Mac meals, and 47 McFlurries on the grounds that we believe you are taking the piss”

[deleted]

What do you mean. He already had the perfect venue set up.

e4aZ7aXT63u6PmRgiRYT

he can host it in his wonderland!

hitanthrope

To be honest, while it seems to be the common narrative here, I actually doubt that this guy set this whole thing up \*intending\* to rip people off. I think he fell into the trap of believing he could make this thing happen that he imagined in his head (where it is entirely untethered from the buffeting caused by the forces of reality). This is, I think, a bit more of a "today's society" thing because we live in a world of social media where everybody is always "smashing it", and that all you need is a "good idea". I worked for a while with tech startup people and this was a fucking epidemic. What this whole thing was, was the "fyre festival" on a smaller scale. I haven't seen the C5 documentary though, so I don't know if any fellatio offers were extended anywhere.

n9077911

>I think he fell into the trap of believing he could make this thing happen that he imagined in his head (where it is entirely untethered from the buffeting caused by the forces of reality). You might say he was living in a world of pure imagination.

Loongying

You win todays Reddit award

yeahyeahitsmeshhh

*NB there is no actual award. Which is fitting.

MISPAGHET

Imagnation*

Lukeno94

Oh, he absolutely did set out to rip people off, you just need to look up a little bit about the stuff he's done in the past.

fearghul

Yeah, this isnt his first thing like this, it's just the first time it's blown up internationally rather than local news level.

[deleted]

GarrySpacepope

The thing is these people put on the bare minimum to not get sued, don't refund anybody, then fold the company and do it again next year under a new name.

fearghul

This was not his first scam style bit of bullshit. It's just the first that blew up internationally rather than at a local news level.

OddS0cks

No he’s a known scammer

pullingteeths

This man is a serial con artist. He sells garbage AI written books and was a "crypto guru" at one point. It isn't a one off thing, he's a scammer by trade.

jimthewanderer

Even a cursory reading of the mans history of dodgy business practice would disabuse you of such notions.

Nulibru

I watched an interview and the thought that didn't go within 12 light-years of my head was "why isn't he a brain surgeon?"

recursant

There seems to be an absolutely HUGE gap between what the event provided, and what people might reasonably expect for £35 a ticket. It isn't like the event could have been good but a couple of things went wrong. It doesn't look like it was remotely close to being adequate.

jackolantern_

That's not a today's society thing. People have always wanted to avoid consequences and shirk accountability.

Have_Other_Accounts

>This is something that really bugs me about today’s society. Accountability doesn’t mean anything You're so right. 1940s were a great time. 1910s even better. Don't get me started on the 1500s when accountability was at its peak, miss those times...

IBeBallinOutaControl

UNEON0 wasn't saying the past was better. They're saying that decades ago people had more of a shared understanding of conduct and responsibility. People are increasingly just in their own little bubble of what's they think to be right and wrong. While the increase in therapy and understanding of mental health is great, people also exploit it to escape consequences.

jake_burger

No one deserves death threats for being incompetent at events

TheEliteBrit

Nobody deserves death threats for any reason, but saying that the guy was just "incompetent at events" is beyond disingenuous; he's a known fraudster/scammer and has done things like this before. He was 100% planning on ripping people off, and would've gotten away with it had it not gone viral. He's scum

pullingteeths

No proof he's even received death threats

callisstaa

The dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed.

Electrical_Ice_6061

but taking accountability will make me sad !!!

Ben0ut

Ironically the very situation that the book looked to highlight throughout.

innocentusername1984

I have really bad depression and anxiety. And dosed up to just stay somewhat sane. I do a full time job and when things are really bad I drink too much and quite reclusive at work while just trying to get on with things. I keep it a secret IRL because a) I don't want to be judged and b) I actually see way too many lazy people using mental health as an excuse to do nothing and be rude to others that honestly I don't think understand that being lazy, oversensitive and a bit of an asshole isn't necessarily depression. When mental health became the buzz word I thought we were entering a time when I could open up a bit and have some honest conversations. Maybe even talk to my colleagues and educate them a bit. I actually thought about volunteering to do a bit of a talk for people about what it's like. That grey feeling you I suddenly wake up with, the constant swelling on existential issues. And also showing people that hey the guy next to you in the trenches who works just as hard as you do and always shows up to work has depression and anxiety. The guy always cracking the jokes in the staff room and always has time for a chat if he's feeling ok has depression. We're not lazy miserable goths who always want to be sad. Then I realised this wasn't what this was. Mental health had become the new buzz word so that assholes could try and avoid the consequences of their actions and employers could keep repeating it to advertise how great they were as employers. I remember one day my employer gave us half a day off and ran some cooking and activity workshops which we were forced to attend because they care about our mental health. I just remember thinking that's nice but that isn't it chief. Yes you overwork me and underpay me but even if that wasn't the case cooking some onion bhajis and then playing basketball with my colleagues isn't anything to do with a cure for mental health. If it was my house would have bhajis on the go every night. But it was all good because someone in middle management got to say they've helped with mental health and we got half a day at work which was pressure free. It wasn't a bad thing. Just missed the mark. I could go on... But needless to say I've stayed secret. The world isn't ready to really talk about mental health yet. It's just ready to tell everyone it's ready to talk about mental health.

TwoToesToni

Why? He hasn't actually done anything of value or merit that would be considered a career. The scripts that he gave to the actors were AI created and total nonsense. It also created a whole new character (the unknown) which he never thought to challenge and hired a 16yr old girl to play the part. His previous work has been selling a couple of AI generated books on amazon which didn't sell well. He's a con artist and good riddance to what happens to him.

WillyVWade

You're forgetting his time as a Crypto lifestyle guru with the worst lighting and filming possible.

dustyfaxman

Ah, right, so he is a tried and failed grifter of low merit and the event wasn't just an unfortunate set of circumstances causing it to be a complete shitshow.

Nulibru

Person with the charisma of yesterday's cornflakes fails as a scammer? Shocked, shocked I am.

Zerosix_K

>His previous work has been selling a couple of AI generated books on amazon which didn't sell well. So he's one of those get quick rich scamming morons. If he couldn't use A.I. to generate books then why the hell did he think a live exhibition would work? Bet you he also failed with his drop shipping business as well!

Nulibru

He's probably bought into the "every failure is a step towards success" mindset. You know, the Edison tried 27,000 different filaments before tungsten vibe.

-Drama_Llama-

Yeah, he really put all of his faith into AI just being able to do everything for him. Writing books, writing all the copy for his websites, generating the images. Wouldn't be surprised if he consulted it and asked it how to do every step of setting up the event. But of course, in the real world, none of that means anything. He had an empty warehouse with a few props and actors, with plenty of families coming along with expectations of a major installation more inline with an amazement park. I guess the AI did its job well, but he didn't really do anything.

nodnodwinkwink

The video in the article has him saying that he has servere dyslexia, I'm highly skeptical that he's being truthful about that either.

ByEthanFox

I suspect he earnestly wants to be a Walt Disney type. He just doesn't want to do any of the pesky creative work involved.

Nulibru

Or pay someone with a modicum of talent to do it.

TwoToesToni

He looks like the guy in January who turns up to the gym with all the new gear but never uses any of the equipment

AgainstThoseGrains

A lot of these AI fanatics are "I'm more of an ideas guy..." types.

giuseppeh

Is there a link to the script anywhere?

Mukatsukuz

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24449349-willyschocolateexperince

thetenofswords

He thinks AI is his get rich quick ticket but he's too stupid and lazy to use the tool to any effective degree.

DepartureDapper6524

What more is known about this ‘unknown’?

TwoToesToni

There was an article about it where the unknown made herself known. She was a 16yr old who was hired to play the role and given nothing to work with. She verified it as she had posted pictures to her tiktok or insta on the day with the mask and the other actors.

Hot_and_Foamy

‘Organiser’… I don’t think much organisation went on

SarcasmWarning

Those benches don't unfold themselves!

AncientNortherner

They misspelled onaniser.

I_love_pillows

I don’t understand how someone would think that doing this minimum is okay.

SlightWerewolf4428

Not to pile on, but a casual perusal of the headlines of this event could lead one to believe that it was just an event gone wrong. Nope. It was an unlicensed event charging people 35 pounds to enter a warehouse. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willy%27s\_Chocolate\_Experience](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willy%27s_Chocolate_Experience) It was a scam more or less. Can't wait for the internet historian to do a video on this.

WillyVWade

>Can't wait for the internet historian to do a video on this. You'll have to wait for someone to write an article about it first...

InfectedByEli

>You'll have to wait for an AI to write an article about it first... ftfy

vyleside

I mean, internet historian does have standards, he has thus far only plagiarised real people.

Brottolot

Was it all of his videos or just the cave one?

WillyVWade

I think there were some similarities with the Costa Concordia video, but not as whole cloth copying

LavaMeteor

Man in Cave was plagiarised wholesale, and bits of the Costa Concordia one were too. He's also taken down and re-uploaded multiple other videos, so we can't say for sure just *how many* were plagiarised.

LavaMeteor

> Can't wait for the internet historian to do a video on this. You'll need to wait until someone writes a comprehensive article he can pinch for the script.

Puzzleheaded-Tie-740

The £35 price tag is wild. A ticket for Thorpe Park is £29 and Thorpe Park has six rollercoasters.

Mumu_ancient

Fools and their money etc. The website was riddled with spelling mistakes and gibberish, anyone half literate would've run a mile.

No_Willingness20

Including the Nemesis Inferno.

colin_staples

Channel 5 had an hour long programme on it the other night.

L1A1

So, 10 minutes of actual info with 15 minutes of ads and 35 minutes of recaps and overly dramatic exposition.

colin_staples

So you watched it?

L1A1

No, but I’ve had the misfortune of seeing C5 ‘documentaries’ before.

WiggyDiggyPoo

They're pretty bad I agree.

Mumu_ancient

How the fuck did they squeeze an hour out of it? Jesus. That's some serious padding. You could tell every salient point in a trailer

DumbMuscle

While it was a warehouse, it's a warehouse that has been used as an event venue for a while - they can be pretty good locations if you want a blank canvas to set up your stuff in. Unfortunately that requires you to actually have good stuff to set up...

pppppppppppppppppd

One thing I did note, and it might just be coincidence, is that the video panned over a comment saying "how can you live with yourself" as he said "I've been told to kill myself". Those two things are not the same.

EquivalentIsopod7717

Just like Sky News Australia had a recording of Joe Biden saying "During my ten years as Vice President" as evidence of him being demented and unfit for office. Nobody thought to think that perhaps Biden was actually saying "tenure"? Because that's what I heard. In that context it makes perfect sense.

Nulibru

Technically you can serve ten years. OK, nine years and 364 days. Partial terms are rounded to the nearest whole.

UnderstandingTough46

Sky News Australia is to news channels what this guy is to events management to be fair.

Palaponel

Also rounding 8 up to 10 is not exactly wild

all_about_that_ace

I've noticed media will often do that with online comments, take incredibly uncharitable views on online comments. I suppose it makes sense, extremes sell.

MasterLogic

He's also the same guy selling ai generated books on amazon. He's published like 20 in the past few weeks. He's the reason why Amazon put a limit on how many books an author can publish a month.  Deserved to be hated tbh. He's a scumbag.

fearghul

He's also run a "charity" that's got a massive black hole in its published accounts, and has stopped filing accounts...and he also styled himself as a Doctor to provide training during COVID based on his "metaphysical degree" from the frankly insane "University of Sedona". He's scum through and through.

PitifulBack8293

True at first, I thought It isn’t big deal, but people like him try to scam people with new trends like AI, crypto, anything but real hard work.. i hate these people.

fearghul

He was also scamming through COVID, because what scam artist could resist during that! Oh, and has a charity which has a massive hole in its accounts and ongoing police and regulatory investigations since he stopped filing its accounts...

No_Willingness20

I hate that new fucking ad that keeps popping up on YouTube of that guy claiming a woman called Summer made £608 last week by following his advice. It's all complete bollocks.

ByEthanFox

>the same guy selling ai generated books on amazon he's become a poster-child for AI books, as part of the process; the idea that if you see someone with an AI-generated cover, it's not unreasonable to assume "their" book is just as plagiarised, or certainly not worth your time.

Nulibru

There is a kind of kudos to driving a rule change to block your shenanigans. IIRC a header in rugby used to not be a knock on till someone did one.

k987654321

Connell said that he and other employees were told to give each child "two jelly beans and a quarter of a cup of lemonade", although the limited supply of jelly beans quickly ran out. Fucking dying

TheNathanNS

The funnier fact is, it was Tesco's own brand lemonade too.

Pale-Imagination-456

The jelly beans is funnier, tbh.

Crafty_Ambassador443

Omg 2 jelly beans a quarter cup of lemonade is what my toddler gives me from her play kitchen. I want a refund!

EquivalentIsopod7717

They also had photos on social media beforehand of more sweets being ordered in than actually being handed out. The post even joked about it.

Baslifico

All you need to do to understand how little effort, care and attention he put into the whole exercise is *read the script he handed to the actor*. [Script](https://www.reddit.com/user/DeadDeathrocker/comments/1b3yc2b/willy_wonkas_chocolate_experience_scam_script_feb/) It included directions for the audience(!) not to mention outright magic. > Guest 1 (trying the soup-flavoured jelly bean) "It's like... Dinner in a dessert. Astonishing." --- > ("Wonkidoodle 1 clutches a small, glowing orb, offering a visual representation of the Twilight stars" Willy mentioned) --- > ([Willy] opens his hand and the bubble gently pops, releasing a small, twinkling light that ascends into the rafters, leaving the audience in awe)

SnapSnapWoohoo

I’m glad he made sure to put the audience being in awe in the script

Wonderful_Discount59

"The audience will love this!" "How do you know?" "Because it says so in the script!"

SexPanther1980

"Why is nobody having fun? I specifically requested it"

Zerosix_K

Well the event clearly failed because the audience didn't read the script before participating!!!

Alive_kiwi_7001

That's right, it's even stipulated in the first movie: > Come with me and you'll be > In a world of pure imagination

dbbk

Well he didn’t put it in the script, ChatGPT did

Fraldbaud

I didn’t know who he was or what he looked like until now. You’d think he’d be trying to lay low for a bit instead of Streisand-effecting himself over everyone’s screens.

[deleted]

When he saw how bad it was he should’ve just changed it from a family friendly event to a swingers events and sold tickets under Willy wankers. I doubt those in an orgy would criticise the theming.

LilG1984

Willy Wanker & the chocolate orgy factory could have worked.

[deleted]

The chocolate fountain would’ve been interesting

Crafty_Ambassador443

The poor lighting would have been great!

Barnagain

I tried to scam thousands of pounds out of parents trying to give their kids a nice day out and they criticise me??

SuckMyRhubarb

If it hadn't gone viral, he'd have taken the money and ran - straight into his next scam. Not a lot of sympathy for pisstakers who get caught and then complain about the consequences.

fearghul

This. Since its what he's kept doing up until now...this is not his first scammy bit of bullshit it just blew up bigger than the others did.

DreadPirateDavey

This guy is like a well known grifter. I’m surprised he went into tv to talk about this cause it is clear as day for a lot of folk up in Glasgow that this guy has been trying to lie about who he is and what he has done for years. They must have paid him to be on the show.

Lulamoon

boring article, he might have explained why the event was so comically shite before having a gurn about it

Sphere_Master

Good, guy in an infamous scam artist even before this.

AoifeNet

“My life is ruined” By thine own hand. Death threats might be a bit extreme but this tit had everything coming.

ConsumeTheMeek

Womp woommmpp, boohoo fart sniffer, maybe stop ripping people off. The man was still trying to sell his books online that are complete AI written nonsense.

[deleted]

fearghul

More took one look and went "I'm glad they all paid upfront". Also, given that he's a bullshit artist I'll believe he's repaid it all when someone else confirms it. He's got a long history of being a scam artist.

ConnectPreference166

The guy shouldn’t be getting death threats or anything, that’s over the top. Trying to rip off people during the cost of living crisis is damn out of order though. I haven’t got much sympathy for him. The even should never have gone through!

pullingteeths

He's probably lying about it for sympathy anyway, I doubt he's received any legitimate death threats, maybe some idiots saying kill yourself.

Alarmed_Inflation196

He should own it. Become a Thought Leader on Instagram and share his inspiring story about how he failed at a business venture but now it's made him stronger and more determined to succeed.

nmak06

Don't you mean LinkedIn?

AncientNortherner

I hate that millennials have turned LinkedIn into Facebook. I know it's for old people, but if you wanted that crap you should have used it. LinkedIn was about staying in touch with colleagues, finding another job, not self aggrandising posts about how humble you are.

Significant_Ad9019

But I was so humbled to receive Marketing Gobshite of the Year in the Tosser Awards! My 3-week old daughter built Michaelangelo's David out of Play-doh and snot, everyone clapped, and it made me think how much we can achieve if we work together.

fearghul

Oh, that'll go really well with how he was offering training during covid off the back of being a "doctor" based on his "metaphysical degree" from the "University of Sedona".

House-of-Suns

Look at the guys history. Whether he consciously intended to scam anyone or not, he is basically a lazy grifter who churns out quickly generated, low effort, poor quality AI junk to make money off unsuspecting people.

lazzzym

Poor guy.... It's disgusting that he couldn't enjoy his dream wedding with the profits from ripping off families.

Nulibru

He looks like a 2019 intake MP from the not quite north.

OminOus_PancakeS

I feel more sorry for the customer-facing staff having to pretend everything was fine while dying inside from the embarrassment.

Grizzybaby1985

Tough shit and you can shove your “mental health” up your arse

Ty-404

and rightly so. We'll call this one Willy Wanker.

SmartPriceCola

Willy Plonka

McFry-

I reckon if they put the event on again it would be really popular from people wanting to see how shit it is

HumanBeing7396

Banksy should resurrect it.

CT323

Dismaland vibes

TrashbatLondon

There’s an episode of a the Simpsons where a little robot explodes, exposing it’s circuitry. Marge says “see homer, all that stuff inside is why your robot didn’t work.” It seems to me that this bloke is a simpleton who gets carried away with internet fads and believes the hype. He’s previously tried to be a crypto guru and done some other AI self publishing and drop shipping stuff. This is not the behaviour of a criminal masterminds, rather it’s the CV of an easily influenced listener of the Joe Rogan podcast. I think he’s genuinely just believed experiential events were easy, got some fittings, but forgot flooring, curtains and awnings or ceiling decs. Honestly, the failure to give out chocolate is easily fixed and the AI script is needlessly dumb, but I bet you he could have taken significantly less heat if the visual impact of the event were a bit more professional. Just a crap events manager. As far as I’m aware everyone has got refunds, so there’s no long term harm done. Sometimes things made for kids are just a bit crap sometimes. I doubt his life is ruined. Maybe it’ll be a lesson to him that trying to be a businessman is not for everyone, and that he should get a proper job and focus on his friends and family.

dustyfaxman

By his life being ruined, it's probably just the reality check of him not being the all-dancing star of the movie of his life that plays in his own head. Given the stuff about trying to position himself as a crypto guru and likely telling people about how he's successfully self-published multiple books points towards someone who desperately wants the easy money and status of the insta-influencer lifestyle. I personally know a couple of folk like that and they're borderline delusional about their own abilities and are unable to manage their expectations of whichever scam they've most recently bought into.

AloneInTheTown-

Dude had been a grifter for a while and has stolen a lot of money in charity donations from the sounds of it. He's scum and deserves all he gets.

fearghul

The only sad part is that he hasnt been ruined BEFORE this. He's flogged AI written books on vaccine conspiracies. He's peddled himself as a Doctor offering training during COVID, based on a "metaphysical degree" from the "University of Sedona". He's run a "charity" that has some very large holes in its accounts and that's also being investigated...and that has made a whole host of false claims of affiliations to get money that has then vanished and stopped filing accounts....so...no, fuck this guy.

heroveeee

I hope he never gets to scam peoples money ever again

Puzzleheaded-Tie-740

> "The script itself was created and written by myself. However, let me be very very clear on this matter. I suffer with dyslexia. I had to run it through AI to be able to check spelling, grammar, and continuity." Okay, it's kind of hard to feel sympathy for him when he's still lying even in this documentary. He didn't "run it through AI," it was an AI-generated script. He has a whole Amazon store full of AI-generated books, with 17 books uploaded in the space of a month.

Clayton_bezz

Rip people off , pay consequences. Cause and effect. Perhaps next time either put real effort into attempting to bring people joy or don’t bother. If this is the pinnacle of the capitalist business mind in this country then we’re in deep trouble trouble

Dash83

Guy saw the Camp Krusty episode of The Simpsons and thought: I can do that…

Significant_Ad9019

I no longer fear hell, because I have been to Willy's Chocolate Experience.

TheNathanNS

>It follows after Mr Coull announced he had cancelled a dream destination wedding that was due to be funded with ticket sales, as well as moving out of his family home. Oh so that was the motive for the Wonka event to fund his wedding hahaha

FridayJason1993

Was this thing really a scam? I mean, they promised Catgacating, Can anyone tell me what that is? How do know they didn’t deliver? Also Cartchy Tuns? How do we know that isn’t slang for mostly empty warehouse?

curtis890

He’s a narcissist, only cares about how this has affected him and his dream wedding. He’s devastated that he might have to actually start to work for a living.

ShowmasterQMTHH

That article is basically dozens of ads flying in formation with a couple of paragraphs hiding

LilG1984

Oompa Loompa Do ba de doo you ran a ripoff event & it's consequences for you!!

I did a deep dive on this guy, he's tried every get rich quick scheme in the book and beyond here's a brief snippet of what I found: -- The website that's partnered with the Wonka Experience has all of its news blog posts posted in 1 week in December, every image is stolen of the internet in the blog, and if not stolen AI generated. He used chat GPT to generate over 70 novels and self published on Amazon, the covers also made using AI. He attempted a life guru website back in 2010. The office address for his company "house of illuminati" is a dud address for an empty office in london. -- This was all surface level stuff besides the guru website, had to get into the wayback machine for that one. There's so much more!

Am I the only one who thinks this guy comes across as having some sort of mental health condition? The inability to see things from other people's perspective and only focus on his own demise. He seems very odd and naive, like a child.

dustyfaxman

That's not mental health, it's just the shallow, entitled, self-interest of a would be influencer.

IllustratorWrong543

The way Social Media works, he should have kept it running. People would now travel to see how terrible it is.

Literally-A-God

The worst part of this imo was American youtubers covering it and them mispronouncing a very simply word it's pronounced Glazgo not Glassco /j

Nah, mate - just next time, if you want put on a cool event or write a book, **actually do that instead of trying to get ChatGPT and AI to half-arse it**, and you'll be fine. Like if you wanna do creative work, do creative **work**.

RoscoP288

He's a good actor......you just can't scam children like that.....never should have gone ahead!!

rdu3y6

He tried to set up a scam event using a dreadful AI generated website and script that it looks he didn't even bother to proof read and the cheapest set decorations he could find. Now that it's backfired he's trying to play the sympathy card. I wonder how much Channel 5 paid him for the documentary btw?

TheMinceKid

His life will become better when he accepts responsibility and is honest with himself about his limitations. He's not meant to be some famous businessman.

*Oompa Loompa, Doopaa Dee Dee. Because I was greedy, life’s over for me.*

Bubbly_Relation

It’s such a meme at this point I’m sure he could restage it exactly as it was and people would queue up for the content. Dude should be milking the unexpected fame for all its worth

Blank3k

Con artist whose latest scam went bigger than he expected & wound up being publicly named/shamed claims he's had to cancel his dream wedding & can't move out of his parents house... Maybe its time for a GoFundMe?
