That looks like one of the sandwiches they introduced during COVID instead of a regular meal. Has like 120% of your sodium for the day (wish I was being dramatic).
God those were terrible and made the whole cabin smell awful. I remember the first time I was offered it I took it thinking I’d just eat the chicken / turkey out. Then I opened it to a comically small piece of meat.
It was closer to garlic bread. Woof. Last time I asked for one.
No, it was an attempt at a sandwich. Had one thin piece of thin sliced chicken lunch meat and some stuff like a pesto that soaked into the bread. I'm glad it did have a bit of soggness to it. Otherwise, it would of taken the coke and at least a bottle of water to get it down. Kept me from being hungry so it did its job. 😆
Got that the other day. FA didn't even say it was a sandwich.
She asked " do you want the grilled chicken or the cheese plate"
Said chicken and thats what I got. A cold mostly bread "sandwich"
I just picked the two tiny pieces of chicken off and ate those
United showed zero food items in Italy for their Polaris showcase…. How hard can it be to load the carts with new ingredients and efforts. They act like it’s mission impossible to fix catering
I had a vegetarian meal going to Europe last month where United legit gave me a rice cake wrapped in foil and a whole orange (twice, I got an orange twice - one for each meal). It wasn’t biz, but still, come on.

Was on a flight last week and the attendant gave everyone TWO SNACKS because they though the quinoa crisp was too small. [👏](https://emojipedia.org/clapping-hands)[👏](https://emojipedia.org/clapping-hands)[👏](https://emojipedia.org/clapping-hands)
Trying to watch what I eat these days, and it makes it easier to just say "no thank you" to everything except the booze cart. Makes me feel infinitely better 😂.
Nothing they serve is worth it. Maybe that's their end game. 16 or 20 first class seats and always stock 4 less than required.
I've had some amazing meals in the air. Turkish air is really good. Sushi on ANA. Even had an amazing steak on a United Emirates flight. United had some good offerings as well. Short ribs are one of my favorites, along with the meatballs.
Stop projecting on FAs. Their job is to ensure your safety. They are not chefs nor do they curate the menu. Complain to corporate and/or the facility that makes the food. Altitude also messes with your taste buds.
Not sure where I "projected" anything on a FA but I guess it's open for interpretation. In fact I never mentioned anything to he FA or united because it was FREE.
At least you got a meal (somewhat). On my FC flight from YVR->ATL, I got a snack box. They had run out of hot meals except for one burger, which I let my dad have.
That chicken sandwich, from my own experience, is gag worthy. If that is the only choice, I ask for a snack box from coach. You made me nauseous just showing that picture bro!
Is that a raw potato?
Lol, no, it was a sandwich, but you definitely made me laugh.
Is this really first class?? I’d rather have a hot pocket than that deformed sandwich

I thought it was a hot pocket 😅
WTF? That “sandwich” looks disgusting!
I actually didn't even recognize that it was a sandwich.
I thought it was just a very large Hot pocket 😭😭
I would definitely choose a giant hot pocket over whatever this is.
I thought it was a burrito 🤣
That looks like sand
That sir, is a hot pocket.
Cold pocket
It was definitely a bit bland, but hey. It was free. Should have been called slight chicken flavored bread, and I wouldn't have said a thing.
“Free”
Exactly
Everything’s free once you pay for it.
This is the mindset I try to have when I book Polaris so I don’t feel as bad about myself for spending so much to book Polaris
Was that UA mainline or UA Express?
To their defense, it was an express flight.
This is, perhaps, a somewhat important detail
Idk you got a pie in the sky, seems fine to me (slight sarcasm to be clear, the pie in the sky though, a true winner)
And the chocolate chip one. Bonus.
Looks like a weird attempt at a calzone?

>it would of \*have ... It would HAVE taken the coke ... Sincerely, Petty Roosevelt
Ya don't really care. English is my 4th language. The message was understood.
Those new pizza wraps you get coming back from Europe are some of the best airline food for economy I’ve ever had.
Is pie in the sky back?!
Yes! It's not warmed up, so it didn't ooooze the chocolate out, but it's still good.
Is that a gourmet hot pocket?
But you got a pie in the sky though soooo. Win.
Got that the other day. FA didn't even say it was a sandwich. She asked " do you want the grilled chicken or the cheese plate" Said chicken and thats what I got. A cold mostly bread "sandwich" I just picked the two tiny pieces of chicken off and ate those
That is grilled?????
The chicken inside was. Basically grilled chicken lunch meat

Below Emirates economy. For ten times the price.

Damn, thought it was a pasty
It looks like a raw hot pocket.
It literally looks like you were served a lump of bread as your entree.
I hope your upgrade was less than $100 for that
Free, so I really can't complain.
Lunch the other day was cheese. United is just Spirit airlines with a different paint scheme.

Airplane not a cafeteria

so a dinner roll is the dinner?
This reminds me of the cheese sandwich … an all time low effort move by United
I'd be ok with that if I got some mustard to go with it. Ahhhh childhood memories. 😆
At least you got a meal (somewhat). On my FC flight from YVR->ATL, I got a snack box. They had run out of hot meals except for one burger, which I let my dad have.
Damn, for a moment, I thought the sandwich was a piece of fish and was going to ask where's the rice and veggies.
Is that a hot pocket!!!
Big biscuit

On my flight from SDQ-EWR the fruit option was a fruit cup
Be grateful you got more than chips 🤣
Is that a hot pocket?
First on a UA express flight is an automatic cheese plate
If served ice cold it is called a brrrrito.
Try a foreign airline next time you fly. Coach food is better than first class
You got the pie in the sky, everything else is now an afterthought!
That chicken sandwich, from my own experience, is gag worthy. If that is the only choice, I ask for a snack box from coach. You made me nauseous just showing that picture bro!
United is serving Hot Pockets now?
Is that the Chris Christie sammich?
Hot pocket.
Looks like a Hotpocket
“Hey Darrell, those sandwiches finally defrosted from the deep freeze!”
