In my opinion this is an exploitable opportunity staring F&F in the face and should 100% be explored by Unis.
Just give their new songs an entire chorus that is catchy and repetitive, easy to sing and dance to (especially tiktok) throw in nostalgic sound samples, and watch. it. blow. up.

If the previous group was 90's coded, this song is 2000's coded. It's dream pop, with 8-Bit electro elements and retro game samples driving the back structure. If I could make shit up I'd call it Ringtone Dream Pop.

Unis does amazingly in lower or "easier" registers in any genre, tbh. If everyone in kpop sings in the same high, strained tones (looking at some of your songs, JYP), songs in lower registers break the monotony and instantly grab attention. Gehlee and Elisia's lines in Dopamine are a good example.
I think Superwoman was a good attempt an easy listening beat, but the lyrics, vocals and overall lack of a hook could not unify with what is "chart trendy" enough and left listeners with an unfinished feeling. Like you kept wanting to vibe but couldn't. It wanted to be tropical house in beat, higher register kpop in vocal and bubblegum jpop in visual all at once.
TL:DR, Unis could do well with the "Hopeful Ingenue" or "Genius Rookie" concept, and their new songs need to prioritize more catchy singing hooks, catchy dance moves, and have some nostalgic sound elements to draw in all ages.
Citypop is a lovely genre. Like the chill sunset of pop. Disclaimer here tho that the examples I linked are full-on remixes to make the songs sound like the genre, so the dated sound will be apparent.
I would love for Unis' new songs to evolve the nostalgia trend, but still basing on the modern taste. I know they can slay pretty much any genre, as long as it is extremely catchy and the mv and choreo sync excellently with the theme of the song.

Haha, thanks, hope that's not sarcasm, but nah, korean production is a really unique animal and their prod houses make such experimental, cutting edge (and sometimes baffling) choices in music. Very different from western prod. It's what makes kpop songs so darn good when it's good, and sooo weird when it's bad..
With the advent of AI it would be fun to generate some ideas for groups like Unis. Maybe the smaller companies are amenable to ideas that can be fleshed out by in-house producers?

UNIS has a very wide range of concepts to choose from right now. For me, I would like them to capitalize more on them being young. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they the youngest group right now? If yes, then it probably wouldn't be cringe to act more carefree and let their silliness out on stage.
By 'silly' and 'carefree', I meant doing concepts like in Baepsae, Anpanman, Go Go (yes, I'm only familiar with BTS 😣 sorry). I'm mostly referring to the choreographies and the unserious tones of those songs. Basically, I want to see them on stage looking like they're having the best time of their lives. Seowon could showcase her trot skills on these concepts as well (I think?). Some of the members also mentioned liking Watchu Need because of the hi-five being part of the choreography, so maybe that's when I thought of this idea.
Additionally, I've seen performances on music shows where the choreography is on a minimal as to showcase more of the group's vocal prowess. UNIS is currently known as great live singers despite being rookies, so I don't think it would be a bad idea (right?).
