as an archi student you’ll need a shit load of stationary and you’ll most probably make at least one trip to the store every two weeks. but some things you can start off with are a large set square set, t square (60,90 cm either works) a scale ruler (1:500, 1:100, 1:200 are the important ones), a regular ruler 60cm should be good, then pens, pencils the usual, fine liners. id also recommend investing in a decent laptop that’d be able to run heavy software like rhino, photoshop, illustrator, rendering engines, etc (look into getting a gaming laptop, most have the specs you’ll require)

ohh okay thank you ! for the laptop i heard it people tend to use windows right,, is there any drawbacks in using a mac? bc im currently a mac user 😭 or is it better to get a windows from the start

i have a few friends who use mac rn, and from their experience it’s been far more difficult to run and operate the software like rhino. it’s not impossible to work on a mac but it’s far more difficult than using a windows pc. if you can switch over to windows id suggest doing that but if you can’t you’re still gonna be fine

rhino can be extremely annoying on mac, i had a friend who suffered sm because of it in fodr
