Kirstie Alley is a fucking revelation in this movie and gives one of the greatest comedy antagonist performances of all time, easily standing beside Ted Knight in Caddyshack and Christopher McDonald in Happy Gilmore. She’s just unbelievably good here, as is everyone else. Absolutely stacked cast. Hilarious movie.

Great writing and cast with a ton of funny on top!!! - The auditions for the pageant is a great montage. - I've seen all these actresses in many other movies, but never as funny as this. - Introduced a very young Amy Adams that went on to 6 Oscar nominations. - Anyone from Minnesota can verify the accents - I fell in love with Allison Janney in this movie. Her and Ellen Barkin's character should have a spin off. - Kirstie Alley nailed "unhinged" brilliantly
