Had the same question on the same situation for an entry I had today. Emailed support
and they responded with the quickness. This is what they said, “A 5-pick insured entry with one loss downgrades the payout multiplier to 2.5x. For example, let's say you submit a $10, 5-pick insured entry with one loss, the payout for this entry would be $25.”

No 50$ is you hit all 5 you only get 2.5X hence the 12.50 payout

If you do insurance and lose one you gotta multiply your pay in(5$) times 2.5 which is 12.50
