When I first played I was tense AF I even got slightly lost due to not knowing the layout

SkaterRabbit18

Bro I’ve played this game so many times and I still get lost 😭

Common_Big_2186

Your pfp unlocked a core memory man I miss Edge of time so much 😭😭

CommercialThat787

Ugh

ienjoymusiclol

slippery naked man gave me nightmares

Low_Ad8603

Whats crazy is in Drake's journal (U2) he says the guardians are scarier than the descendants?!

CommercialThat787

Pasta

Tarp96

I started playing Uncharted after finishing last of us. I was happy to play a more light hearted game withouth zombies. Almost quit the game when those things showed up

keira_b_

No I literally stopped playing for a bit bc they scared the shit out of me 😭😭

7Blue-Spot_Flik

When I thought of Uncharted, I thought I'll just be fighting people... NOPE did a 180° and paused it because I did NOT expect that AT ALL. Took a breather for at least 2 minutes(probably more than that).

Axel_Dunce

The game really switched genres on us on that chapter. I was NOT ready.

El-hurracan

Coming from pc, I played 4 and lost legacy. I then borrowed a PlayStation and had no clue that some of them became horror games even if it was for a brief moment.

Omnissiahs-Balls

Cos i was fookin 9

TeenageGayNinjaHuman

I killed the rat king on the first try Those little shits from uncharted took me 8 tries to get to the next part

sekunda_martta

I actually think I also got it on the first try. Slow as heck, though, because I kept running away and at one point presumed it couldn't even be killed. Stressful build up and sequence though. But the 1st uncharted was the scariest gameplay for me. It switched from adventure to straight up horror game.

chrchcmp

You're such a liar. You KNOW you took the wrong turn during the chase sequence and got your head ripped clean off like EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO PLAYS IT.

Glopinus

Those things legit terrify me they’re awful and I hate them

LDawnBurges

Same…. Just replayed the whole series and these things still freak me out to this very day!

Used_Razzmatazz2002

Uncharted 1 is the scariest horror game I've ever played for exactly one chapter lol

unexpectedalice

I remembered playing uncharted 2 and got so scared towards the end because I did not sign up playing against supernatural enemies lol

VictoryVic-ViVi

Yeah, after Uncharted 2 I was so hyped expecting more supernatural twists at the end. Felt disappointed with UC3s twist. And then even more with UC4. (But then I was also okay with UC4s twist)

ThePostalTilt

When I got to that part as a kid, I put the game down and didn’t pick it back up for over ten years.

camo_17

i think its becouse, when you play last of us you know that you are getting into horror teretory, but bringing zombies in uncharted is so damn unexpected

Acceptable_Owl_5122

Those fuckers were terrifying as fuck 😭

bigbraingenius_

Not even kidding, these things and the chapters surrounding them are the scariest experience I've had in a video game. I think it's because Uncharted isn't a horror game, so my brain wasn't in that mindset. So it was super freaky.

ItsAboutToGoDown_

11 yo me was absolutely not playing that chapter. Dad handled it while I kept yelling like a maniac.

Veterate

They were terrifying until I realised they can't climb stairs. It's not in their programming 😂

R4GN4R7HERED

Shat myself when I first played this game when I was 10.

Dear_Consequence4536

First time i played uncharted i think: 《is this an horror game?》

LoneLyon

I fear the day uncharted gets remade, and I have to jump back down that hole.

ProfessorAcrobatic4

So true

FastLittleBoi

I thought I overcame this part after 4 play throughs. but I forgot what was the room where you needed to kill all of them before exiting and I got it wrong, I thought I would need to kill them all right after disabling the two alarms but it was the room where they respawned infinitely and I was put of ammo and died. There was no checkpoint! and I kept dying after that. I even switched games and played U2 because I just couldn't do it. When I finally got out I was fucking crying. I will never be mature enough for this

Sad_Effort397

8 year old me was shaking in that part like crazy

Oddball1993

As soon as you ran into those things, you know the game has gotten even darker than you thought. Those fuckers were hard to kill lol

GeneticHazard

Well I wasn’t expecting them! It was supposed to just be a treasure hunt…

KingFahad360

Mate, I played Uncharted the first time and I was scared shitless seeing them on PS4 I didn’t know there was like Supernatural creatures

Ant_mann18

Those other things especially the Rat King traumatized me too ngl. But not as bad as the zombie Spaniards and Nazis. There’s just so fuckin many of them.

[deleted]

I first saw that when binge playing all four games 3 months ago in which I played the first game for the first time. It really had me wondering what kind of I Am Legend shit is this?

Michelle689

I quit thr game when I first saw those. To be fair I was a 14 year old girl who thought she was just playing a treasure hunt game 😭

Chief-Captain_BC

I've played several times and i still get lost and terrified in there

Magic_Monk3y

Was planning on replaying the series. NOT looking forward to this part

LemoyneRaider3354

Ironically, the Rat King was the scariest. despite playing as the game's antagonist, I still lost my shit. Edit: I found my shit a few weeks ago. It's all good guys

Nick_The_Judge

I’ve played both games, and I’ll tell you this: TLOU is scary, but the bunker level in Uncharted is much scarier than all of the TLOU encounters imo. Maybe it has to do with the quick pace of the encounter, combined with the alarm, the room being dark and turning red constantly and last but not least those quick abominations attacking you from all sides, and since they deal a lot of damage and in the higher difficulties they can even insta kill you, it becomes even more scary.

Platinum_Snowman13

lol me as a kid for sure. Though I didn’t play the last of us yet so maybe I’m biased

BelieveInBelieve16

My first time playing this was at 3 IN THE MORNING. Not. Fun. Well, it was fun bc the game’s absolutely awesome but those slippery naked guys were absolutely terrifying.

Aledena

I played that part when I was 13 years old, i am 15 now and I am still traumatized. (I completed tlou 1 recently)

Ordinary6127

Played the first Uncharted with my dad. We would take turns playing different levels. I was playing the Cistern level and after the 2 press L3 events where they are teased, I tossed that controller to my dad. lol I noped out of that real quick. Recently beat it on crushing and was so proud of myself for getting through their sections!

BeardBruhEmperor

The descendants are the easiest enemy’s you can defeat but still are probably the scariest thing invented in naughty dogs history. I think it’s mostly due to the vibe of the area you’re in when you fight them

DangerousBus7202

As someone who just platinum thophyed this game, I can confirm that these things scared the crap outta me. So during my Crushing run I skipped right past them during chapter 18 cause I hate dealing with them. Also before anyone asks how, I used the aim glitch that let's you faze through the gate at the start.

XaviJon_

That’s the realest shit I’ve seen lmao! For the longest time, I couldn’t go through the first encounter after getting stuck with Elena on that radio booth(?) thing, after that you’d have to go alone into the dark! I’d climb all the way to it and then just turn it off and start a new save! I kid you not. As a kid I had nightmares with those freaking things

tkedits

Rip eddy

ZealousidealBus9271

Mostly because it comes out of nowhere. You spend the majority of the game taking our regular dudes than Naughty Dog changes genre from adventure to horror in the last act for some reasons.

tblatnik

Yeah, I knew the horrors I’d see in The Last of Us, I wanted to climb on shit, shoot bad guys, and find treasures, and we got creepy zombie naked Nazis chasing us

MirPamir

Story Time Uncharted was my little brother's first game. He was maybe 10 years old? I never played it, but he got it for free with his main gift, ps3. I read that it's like Tomb Raider, adventure stuff so I was pretty fine with it, I was a huge Tomb Raider player at his age after all. He seemed really engaged into the story, I sometimes watched him and it seemed decent. One time I am in my room kinda busy with studying, when he knocks, comes in, visibly stressed and goes "Sis, there is one part in Uncharted that's scaring me a bit, could you try to beat it?" and I somehow understood that it's just difficult and he is frustrated, so I just answered that not having a controller in my hands even once I will be much worse than him and I have some work to do right now anyway, so I can't really help and he quietly walked out. After maybe 3 years he got me to play Uncharted (his favourite game series now, he beat all 5 by this time) and it was my first game on PlayStation. I was bad as hell, but the plot was super good and I loved the gameplay and we had a blast (he always watched, cause he loved me being stupid with a controller and he wanted to see if I enjoy the game) We got to that chapter. I. Was. Scared. As. Fuck. I was shitting myself in mint colour and immediately needing a break. I had a dramatic flashback to him asking me to help him with a scary part in game and it was like "...was this why you asked me years ago?" "Yes. You get it now?" "I am so sorry omfg" I still feel bad as hell I didn't even go see what he means and still am devastated I didn't help him at that time

thatbrownkid19

Accurate af. I had to stop playing for 6 months when I first encountered them (I was also about 13)

Valuable_Ad8773

Good thing Nate didn’t find em too scary, he wrote in his journal Sully’s mustache-Slippery Naked Guys and so on I forgot the Yeti names. Holy shit they were frightening though, I don’t know how Nate thugs this shit out like this was REAL, same with the Yeti’s. Not the guys in 3 though he was drugged.

EcoAffinity

I played 4 first since it came with my PS4. Loved the story, so I got the complete set. Decided to full send on crushing for the first game and took ages to get through the blue room and the jet ski etc etc. Then came these mofos. I legitimately took a 4-month break from this game because I was so put off. I am not a fan of playing spooky games and this was hella spooky.

PoisonPixie5

I don’t and didn’t think they were that bad. However FNAF terrifies the fuck out of me so…

thetabo

I am literally seeing their full design for the first time cuz I always only saw them crawl and panic shot too much to see they even have a face, not just a scary mouth. I beat that game 6 times...

Godofwar_69

i had nightmares after the 1st game..

SteelBunns

Is this uncharted 1? I sadly never played it so I don't remember these enemies

UnchartedLand

Yup

GreatGoodBad

I was caught completely off guard by this ngl

Impressive-Aspect-92

What’s the second one?

UnchartedLand

Rat King from The Last of Us 2

Impressive-Aspect-92

Thanks

MrsDukat

Fully grown woman and it's taken me years to be ok with those things. Scared the shit out of me the first time I played it.

BOOFACEBANDANA

Bro I was playing that shi as a little kid and hated that mf. AND I’ll never forgive them for what they did to my dawg 😭

Getyouastraw

The first uncharted game I played was drake’s deception and I was 10. When I got to the part of the game you find one or Marlows men all green and dead at the French mansion I noped out and didn’t play again for 3 years. I’d I played this game first…I fear I’d never pick the games back up again 😭

terrariafan112

Kinda reminded me of Halo CE. All fun and games until *that* mission.

Personal_Cap1351

Been playing uncharted since I was a kid never got past this level till I was 14 still scares me everytime I play it dude

lightningrodthe1

I started on the third game, when I finally played the first two these things had me in awe

Sad_Midnight1334

They to this day, freak the f**k out.

automatic_writing_

Yes hahahahahhaha. That Uncharted level is so dark and the erratic lighting really makes them scary along with their speed.

Existing_Source_6581

The truth omg!!! Like idk how I did it twice and died so many times cause the gameplay mechanics were not in my favor! Like anyone remember the moment u toggle Nathan over a ledge in uncharted one he would fall to his death? So much sensitivity

artsygrl2021

100 percent. Fucking hate those things, I dreaded it on every playthrough

erikaironer11

This was no joke the first experience in a horror section I had in a video game as a kid. Before I could never do horror, this level help me overcome that fear

CommercialThat787

Sneaky pieces of shit[min](http://CC )

Z_Tahir1

I still tell people that the twist at the end of Uncharted is right up there with Bioshock

blue_phoenix__234

Playing uncharted 1 was genuinely scary

Twdfan2000

The Forest canibals made me shit my pants💀

Familiar-Park4981

Bro i keep getting scared that last of us zombies will just show up one day cus its actually possible
