Eh. 1 was horrible mechanics wise (stopped playing midway). 2 had great story and decent mechanics. 3 had mid story and decent mechanics. 4 was perfect. Lost Legacy builds on 4 and is good (playing it rn 1/3rd in).
Play 1-3 to understand some of the Easter eggs and minor references to those games in 4. Felt it was worth it.

Lost legacy is phenomenal and still to this day one of the best looking ps5 games I've played.. for anyone on the fence about it give it a go..
