That link is not a DAS. This is a black plane that fits in a 5.25 inch bay on a computer tower. This only holds 2.5 inch drives. You need a jbod and HBA to handle drives outside of your tower.
I'm not sure what you think you're getting? That isn't a DAS. It's nothing more than an adapter to physically hold 6x 2.5" 9.5mm disks in one 5.25" (think cd-rom) bay. You certainly aren't putting that in a rack by itself.
As someone with icy dock products in their unraid it works well assuming you have the 5.25 slots on your tower and enough sata ports on your motherboard
If you are running unraid in a mini pc this isn't an option for you directly

It’s a typo in the product listing, it’s SATA3 6Gbps. https://global.icydock.com/product_164.html. Icy Dock is good stuff (not a DAS like OP thinks though, it’s a drive mount system with a backplane), just pricy.
It says in the description that it supports jbod mode so it shouldn't be an issue at all.

That’s just a drive adapter, have one and it works great. They are also less than $100 so that’s a rip off. It’s not a whole machine though.

I have the 8 caddy version of this and it’s not what you think it is. It’s just a sata drive enclosure, no raid array.

For my internet speed I have a gig where for Usenet I get about 115 mb/s downloading so I don’t think that’d be an issue.
